You could always count on Stan and crew to give you good service at the track and at the shop. And I remember him racing at our local track, Butler Speedway. Thoughts and prayers to the family.

I remember Stan driving the Super on the old 1/4 at Sharon. Little did we know then, that he would become an Icon in the sport.I just can't think of another person-in the OH/PA region,who had a more significant impact than Stan.He was always there-for everybody. He gave ALS all it could handle and in the end he passed away on his terms. Stan was one damn good guy! RIP

R.I.P. Stan was he sick or what happened, I seen his son Mike and daughter, ( forgot her name) last fall at the World Finals in Charlotte, NC.

GUSTAVUS TOWNSHIP - Stanton Lee Hover Sr., 76, died Friday, Sept. 19, 2014, at his home.
He was born Nov. 4, 1937, in Kinsman, a son of Herald and Lillian (Bauer) Hover.
A lifetime area resident, Mr. Hover graduated from Gustavus School. He owned and operated Hover Racing for many years, retiring in 2005. He was a member of the Moose Lodge in Warren, and as a young man, was a member of the Gustavus Federated Church. His hobbies included stock car racing and fishing and he was a Dallas Cowboys fan.
Mr. Hover is survived by his eight children, Stanton Hover Jr. of Gustavus Township, Chrystal McCrimmon of Champion, Stacie Franks of Cortland, Steven (Bonnie) Hover of Warren, Michael (Pam) Hover of Warren, Beth Shrock of Girard, Lisa Emerson of Warren, and Candice (Mark) Castro of Warren; 13 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and one sister, Joyce Byrd of Howland.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Edwin Hover.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, Sept. 25, 2014, at 7 p.m. at the Baumgardner Funeral & Cremation Service, 8569 Main St., Kinsman.
Calling hours will be Thursday from 6 p.m. until the time of service.
A private burial of cremated remains will take place in Gustavus Cemetery.

He was always one of the best people to talk to at the racetrack, not to mention the nicest and helpful.
