Okay I know how rumors go and I by no means am trying to start one but I heard that Bonnell was interested in buying Mercer Racepark....Can anyone who knows or heard about this clarify or kill the rumor???

I know he has been out of his Sprint car for awhile and loves Sprints, so it is definitely a vial able idea...I have seen him at Mercer on several occasions but that really does not add to much...I guess we will have to see what happens on the long off season...

I thought Scott Bonnell only had 1 auto repair business in Erie. What other buildings does he own?

It might not be " Erie proper " I think it may be girard but either way there are MANY big buildings with his name on them ...

Bonnell's have a couple shops in Erie and one in Fairview.

Scott Bonnell sponsored several races and nights at Mercer this year, so probably would have been around the track on those nights!! Otherwise I know nothing but what I am reading here!!

friends and I were just talking and I told them IF Altman was forced because of financial problems have to give track back to Vickie. I told them and this is no lie. " I'll bet Scott Bonnel would be next to buy the place

Same bonnell I see on the quarter panels of about half the racecars up that way? Good to see people invest in local racing like that. Wish it were more appealing to more business owners.

Scott Bonnell owns Bonnell's Collision Center on West 26th St. in Erie. He also owns three businesses in Fairwiew, not in Girard. Bonnell's Collision Center, Bonnell's Rod Shop, and Bonnell's Glass Center. He has been a tremenous sponsor at Mercer Raceway Park in past years including being the title sponsor of The Outlaw Sprint Warrior division. He is very involved with Auto Racers For Kids Charities, but he is not buying the track.

That's right it's called fair view . My girl is from fair view and I was just saying anywhere you drive in that area you see the bonnell name everywhere
