Do you really expect your support classes to turn out? If a driver and 2 crewmen go, it costs $195. Add to that fuel$
for car (say $50) and tow truck ($30) you are at $275, just to show up.

The Jim Butler Memorial is still the RACEFAN 50 event

it was just omited along with the Friday night's Mike "Mountain Man" Reed Memorial events (name) for the ULMS and Crate Late Models

Snooky.. not to compare our event to others.. but Lernerville's Stampede  3 day pass for driver and 2 crew members is $195!   $85 per person if you pay daily.  Our daily pit price INCLUDING practice $85.   Yes .. Lernerville does pay a little more.

I sure hope you and others come out and support this event.   My family and my wonderful staff at MCR have gone thru a lot this year in keeping MCR viable thru some very tough stressfull times this year.    I can not thank the fairboard enough for their trust they have towards me.

Chris Zuver- MCR/ULMS

I heard same rumor Monday while I was at work. I have good idea who started and spreading these terrible rumors.

Its unfortunate that some people have nothing better to do with in their life than start spreading false rumors and hurt someone's credibility and hard earned respect

Rumor is false and id love to hear what jail I was supposedly incarcerated at.

Best wishes.

Thanks for clearing up the memorial situation, Chris.

I hope next weekend all the support and enthusiasm arrives at MCFR like it had in days of the past. A drama-free Fall Classic would be a beautiful step in seeing the great historic oval moving forward for the year 2015 and beyond.

It's not personal, Chris. Simply a financial reality. I respect the work you've done and your commitment to racing. I really don't like to race where if we were fortunate enough to win, we might break even. Hope you have a great show.

Jon if a driver cant atleast get his pit pass fee back($65) unless he finishes toward the front its not a financially smart choice to go. It appears the lower classes are expected to pay the purse of the lm,crates and emods.

We can all speculate til we wear ourselves out, but fact is: if 20+ cars show for the support classes it's a huge success. If 10 show up then it's obviously not going to work and it'll be restructured for next year I'm sure.

My opinion, if you can't pay a "specials purse" don't run a class in your "special race".

Legend, think of the laboon race at PPMS. Throw big money and the cars show up. They tried running stocks with other late model shows for $700 to win and can't get more than a dozen. I'm not saying you gotta pay huge purses for a bunch of classes, just if you can't do that, then don't run all those classes. Guys won't go.

You can't pay support divisions more than they bring in at the back gate . The support divisions don't draw the fans .

I agree, that's why I'm saying, if the back gate costs so much that your support divisions are driven away, the support divisions should be dropped for the event and it should just be a late model show. Run the support classes another time like little guys. I don't think the pure stocks can ask for $1000, but you also can't get offended when the pure stocks don't want to spend $100 to get in the gate. I hope they have success, but a spectator is all I'd be.

Support classes could be run in one night. Run 4 bangers Friday night, pure stocks on Saturday. If you live a distance away towing up one night to run heats, go home, come back and run your main to maybe break even if you win doesn't cut it. Statline ran the Fall Brawl 2 weeks ago. They split the support classes, one Friday one Saturday. ONE pit fee of $30 and way bigger purse. They would get more cars I think.

Maybe you should take the trip up there.  If you're not there early you'll have a hard time finding a seat.  As for cars, there are cars from multiple states that show up for this event.
