Robbie Blair won the $5,000 to win race at McKean County Saturday night and is now tied with Jared Miley for the Late Model point lead with only the Lernerville Stampede left to run!! Both have 62 points with Miley being one up on Blair for wins 9 to 8. Third place Matt Sever is still mathematically in the hunt, but being a pavement driver, is done for the year. Gregg Satterlee, Alex Ferree, Mike Blose and Max Blair round out the top seven. Miley was supposed to have been going to McKean County but either did not make the trip north or had troubles and did not start either feature of the two night show. At this point I don't know what happened, but maybe someone on here does??
STOCK CARS: Two time Cavalcade Stock Car winner Chris Withers is contending for a third straight honor and Saturday night at McKean County finished second to come within a single point of leader Nate Smith, 68-67. With 62 points, Chris Schneider is still in the hunt and could win with a victory at the Stampede.
Note: For reasons unknown to me, Roaring Knob canceled their all support class on Saturday and apparently will run it this Saturday Oct. 18. No mention of the cancelation on their website, just that the race is now scheduled for the 18th. I have no idea what happened as there was no rain that I know of and it sure wasn't "too cold" for mid-October!! That race, if run on the 18th or later, could have some effect on the Stock Car points, although none of the contenders are real likely to go!!
