Anybody know what the e mod race at the Knob is going to pay this Saturday.  I never get a answer from the track whenever I try to get ahold of them and I'm sure this time wouldn't be any different.

$1,000 per their website.  HOWEVER,  only if there are 24 cars!!  A big IF considering that track's weekly E-Mod car counts!!  No mention of what the race will pay if LESS than 24 cars!!!

For their sake, it should be $1000 to win or better.  Hagerstown, allegedly is paying $700 to win for the E-mod portion of their event!

All the classes are 24 or more for that amount to be paid. After last weeks cancellation at the last minute when everyone was there, dont expect a lot of teams to go back. Only a fool would go to this not knowing what a pay out is, you know they wont get 24 cars in any division period. Save it for the stampede were your GURANTEED the payout!

Your right, its $65 non dirt car for 3 days or $60 2 day. Whats the knob $40 or more I bet. So for $20 more you will take a shot in the dark and not have a clue what you will even be getting paid, if anything at all. Its your money and time, you do what you want with it.

No admission prices or pit prices posted anywhere that I can find. There will not be 24 cars in any class is very likely, so please till us what the purse would be for each class. I know Hagerstown E Mod money is guaranteed plus heat money and no entry fee. Probably the best choice with all the questions with the Knob.

We had planed on going last week. But that 50 dollar entry fee and most likely 350 to win( Walt that's why car counts are always low) made us wonder if it was worth it. I know we are not racing to make money but at least break even with a descent run. We like the Knob, it's the closest track for us but things haven't been good there for the last month or 2. Good luck to everybody this weekend.

Not posting a payout means they aren't proud of it for sure. When did their car counts fall apart ?? I always thought they drew pretty good

The E-Mod class has never really caught on in the southern part of western PA, with both Roaring Knob and Bedford having low car counts.  Taking their car counts right from their website, they had 12 cars twice, 10 once and all the other nights under 10 cars.  Average of 8.1 cars per night!!   Sharon and the northern tier are the only really strong areas for E-Mods and I doubt enough drivers from those tracks would make the long haul to the Knob to pull a 24 car field.

GOOD RACING!!!

Bedford's E-mod class looks like it has real potential for growth. Hopefully, Padula is committed to keeping it going!

A couple of weeks ago we were down at dog hollow for a 800 to win show.  They drew 11 or 12 cars and at least five of them were northern guys but they paid the advertised purse.  The fall classic at mcr paid 1500 and drew 17 cars. We like the knob but its a five hour tow for us so I think were just gonna call it a season and stay home.

The issue at the Knob has been pay. They would draw some West Virginia cars, but Tyler pays better. There are 3 or 4 teams closer to Roaring Knob that run elsewhere.

It took a little while, but Roaring Knob is going the same direction that The Rock went under Jones.

We went to a big October emod race back in 2011 that was listed as $700 to win, 20 laps no car count requirements. After we pulled pills and hot lapped, they told us they were cutting it to $300 to win and down to 15 laps because there were under 15 cars. We decided to stay and actually won, but it still sucked the way it was handled.

Emods were a good idea back when they started with the 500 dollar claim rule .... Then dudes who could afford late models bought emods and that all changed .
