I certainly hope somebody with a clue runs the place next year. They could stand to gain a few cars and fans from PPMS next season with them not running supers every week.
Agreed and in that part of the area, they are really the only dirt show in town unless you travel at least 1 hour to 1.5 hours. I only made it down once and was really impressed with the facility and racing. Also its not bad to head down and spend some time in the Laurel Highlands before the races.

Will the Promoter be able to make his Balloon Payment we all hear so much about and stay in business at the track is more the question.

I would love to see Doug Timmons or the Padulas run the place, if Mr.Jones can't get his house in order, But that's highly unlikely with their plates being full with running the Three State Flyers series and Bedford.

I have to wonder what changed over the last season. Everyone predicted the typical Rick Jones type track as soon as he took the place over, but by all accounts the first season or so there wasn't a noticeable change in the show. However, this year things started going down hill with the lights going out, not starting on time, messing with purses and cancellations. Did someone leave that was helping run the program? I can't understand how after 2 successful years for the most part you just let the wheels fall off. I do remember a year or so ago they a similar fiasco with a late fall race being cancelled and rescheduled over and over and then lowered purses when it was finally run. As someone pointed out it is the last remaining track in that region to be left on Saturday nights. Thunder Valley, Challenger, and now PPMS not running lates weekly.

Roaring Knob was a tight run ship under the former owners. When the track was sold, most of the employees stayed and the first years it was still functioning well under Jones because of them and it was being run with the same rules, schedule etc at the former owners. You can see when you go that not many of the former employess are there, schedule is much different now, pricing has increased, rules have changed, etc. Now and his ways of doing things half-a$$ are finally breaking through. This track is going down the same road as The Rock, it just took a little longer because it started out with good employees.

I can tell you this, due to their lack of proper plumbing in the grandstand restrooms they are missing out on 6 tickets every time we race there. None of the women will go and when they don't come none of the kids come.
I believe we raced there 6x this year, the stopped going after the second night the toilets backed up. I don't blame them one bit.
BTW same deal with Marion Center, we went for the first time in 30 years of racing this year. One stop in the restroom and they said let's find another place.
Wish this turned into a stroy where they "required" me to purchase a toter with a rest room but that not my budget.
