The entry forms for the Georgia Triple Crown Series at Oglethorpe Speedway Park in Savannah, Georgia are now available. You can request an entry form be sent to you via mail by contacting us at trackpromoter@yahoo.com or by calling the speedway at 912-964-8200.
Super Late Models run 50-lap features on Friday and Saturday night. The winner is paid $5,000 to win each night. $200 to start the feature. $75 for any driver that does not qualify for the main event.
UMP Modifieds will run 30-lap features on Friday and Saturday night. The winner will receive $1,000 each night. $50 to start the feature. $25 for any driver that does not qualify for the main event.
Mini Stock Open pays $1,000 to win both nights. All drivers receive payoff.
Pure Stock Open pays $600 to win both nights. All drivers receive payoff.
The speedway property will be open all week for camping. Please call ahead and inform us that you are planning to stay at the speedway prior to the event opening on Thursday. 912-964-8200.
Thursday is an open practice. Pit passes will be $12. The grandstand is free for spectators. The practice will run from 6:30pm until 9:00pm.
Friday and Saturday (race days) pit passes will be $30. The grandstand admission is $20 for adults and $5 for children ages 6-12. Five and under are admitted for free.
Pit passes can be purchased ahead of time on race day beginning at 10:00am. The pit gates will open at 2:00pm each day. Hot laps will begin at 6:15pm each day with racing starting at 7:30pm.
Grandstand tickets are available in advance by calling 912-964-8200. Visa and MasterCard are accepted. Tickets ordered after January 10, 2004 will be held for pick-up at the Will Call window. The grandstand will open at 5:00pm each day. No reserved seating is available for these events. The speedway allows race fans to place blankets at anytime after 8:00am each day.
Also available is the OSP Suites a top the grandstand. These offer race fans private VIP level restrooms, comfortable chair back bar stools and complimentary Bud Light and Coca-Cola products in a climate controlled suite with a great view of the entire facility. The suites also include admission tickets to the event and come in two sizes, 8-person suite and 15-person. The suites sell out fast, so if interested call soon at 912-964-8200.
Camping is available at the speedway. Primitive camping is free and is restrcited to along the tree line of the speedway parking area. The RV Park has full hook-ups (water, sewer, electric) for any size motorhome. The RV Park is located just off turn four of the half mile speedway. RV Park sites are $25 for the first night and $10 any night there after (i.e. three nights = $45).
The speedway offers great concession items including our "famous" baby back ribs, roasted turkey legs and quarter chicken dinners. Plus, the race track favorites: hamburgers, cheeseburgers, hot dogs, sausage dogs, etc.
OSP also offers the friendly confines of the "Finish Line Pub" which has been dubbed the "Loudest Sports Bar in Savannah". Stop in for a cold beer, pretzels, peanuts and check out the action on closed circuit television, the hundreds of pictures on the walls, the $10,000 to win Showdown on the Coast winner's door panel above the bar and lots, lots more.
Sunday is the Super Bowl Party or a great travel day into Florida for the Speedweeks racing at Volusia County Speedway or the WinterNationals at East Bay Raceway.
