Drivers competing with the National Sprint League in 2015 will competing for unprecedented purse and prize monies for a regional series. The Midwest 410 sprint car series founded by Big Game Treestands, Tod Quiring, boasts a $350,000 point fund, and expects to command a talented field of drivers.

The first five drivers committed to the new National Sprint League are in. Drivers are already planning for 2015, and memberships are arriving at NSL headquarters in Minnesota. National Sprint League members receive the benefit of insurance, reduced pit passes, contingencies and more.

Brian Brown, Danny Lasoski, Ian Madsen, Terry McCarl and Dusty Zomer are the first five drivers in the books for the National Sprint League. The series, founded by Tod Quiring of Big Game Treestands will boast a $350,000 point fund, and a number of special purse events throughout 2015.

Chuck Zitterich, formerly with the Lucas Oil ASCS Sprint Car Dirt Series, will be the competition director. Bill Wright, Editor of the Knoxville Raceway website and track historian, will be the PR director.

In addition to a point fund paying the champion $75,000, a “regular” event purse will pay $3,000 to win and $500 to start. The current schedule also has at least eleven events that will pay special purses, not only to win, but through the field. The number of special purse events is expected to grow.

Special purse events already include two $5,000 to win events at the Knoxville Raceway in Iowa, $5,000 and $10,000 events at the Huset’s Speedway in South Dakota, the $7,500 to win Jackson Speedway Spring Nationals and the Jackson Nationals in Minnesota, the Front Row Challenge at the Southern Iowa Speedway, the Nebraska Cup at Eagle Raceway in Nebraska, the Jerry Richert Memorial at the Cedar Lake Speedway in Wisconsin and the Season Championship at the I-80 Speedway in Nebraska.

National Sprint League members will also receive the benefit of insurance, reduced pit passes, contingencies and more. Drivers are encouraged to get their memberships in as quickly as possible, as the official website for the National Sprint League is close to being launched!

I have heard about this new series, but at only $3,000 to win,  they are not up to All Star standards and probably what the Renegades will be paying for their shows.   However, It is a real good deal for teams out in the Plains states where they have no real series and not many places to run outside of Knoxville.  I would think they will be successful!!   How about a big special in the Fall at Eldora or Knoxville open to just the top ten drivers in points with the All Stars, Renegades and NSL??  Now that would crate some fan interest!!!

GOOD RACING TO ALL!!!

Just an idea:

I see it as we may end up with an "Out West"(NSL) series, a "Midwest" series(Allstars or Renegades), an "Out East" series(PA Posse) and a "National Series"(WoO).  If it were Latemodels, then there would also be room for a "South East" series.  It's not a bad way to split up racing geographically.  There's probably also a need spring car racing, for a "West Coast" and maybe even a "South West" series.

In total "PA Posse", "Midwest", "Out West", "West Coast" and maybe "South West", would split sprint car country up into 4 or 5 regions.  Each region is large enough to support one series and if they would have a common scoring system and rules, it could lead to a national champion.  For now what we have for a national champion is who wins the traveling circuit or Knoxville.  Knoxville could also become the national championship race for the regions.  Maybe points towards the national race could come equally from each region and the one national touring circuit?  The top competitors of each region and the national series, would enter Knoxville based on points accumulated via their series.   Time will tell which series provides the most national champions.

Our country because of size and population growth and the spread of our population, warrants it.  I wish they all succeed.

A problem I see now is overlap with racers being able to race multiple series.  I do see a solution to the  problem.

All the regional series would have their races on the same day.  Example:  Saturday April 4th 2015 would be the 1st race of the season for all regions.  Each race after that for all regions would be on the same Saturday or holiday.  Big weekends could have two day shows, but every region would have their two day shows on the same two days.

Nice pay out thru the field

On the money again.  Six times the to start amount is fair for the winner.

This is how pay offs should be to keep more cars in the tracks. 3k is enough to win. Putting more to the back like this is good for all teams

Anybody see the potential for a conflict of interest with Tod Quiring 'founding' this series AND also owning a car that will compete in the series????
His car will be driven by Danny Lasoski.
