The liberal machine wrecks yet another .... This is the war on coal playing out. Bam bam won't be happy till we have to jack off spiders and boil their jizz to create electricity !!
I have a feeling it has a lot more to do with other past issues than what it has to do with Bam Bam's war on the coal industry.

thats not really fair. If thats the case then we should shut down air travel, mills, millitary, sky scrapers, cars, trucks and schools and all go broke. Its unfortunate that people die doing their job no doubt but accidents happen.Never mind 29 men died in unsafe work conditions......

It was negligence. Read the reports.

The CEO is not the supervisor or the man in charge of safety. Mining is a dangerous job , there's no such thing as a safe mine
If he knew the safety violations were going on and done nothing to resolve the issues he is as guilty as the foreman, supervisor, and safety personnel that done nothing.
Same as your company. If one of your workers bring up a safety concern and you do nothing to resolve it and someone gets hurt or killed because of your negligence in taking care of the problem you will be held liable.

@ gotti..... You also would get FIRED for pulling that "card" Or did you just forget to mention that ?
That is pure BS. I have worked in industrial construction 25 years and have used the stop work authority a few times and have had my men use it to when it come to a safety situation and were never fired or had reprisals against us.
Do you have any idea of the wrath that would come down on a company from L & I, OSHA, and various other legal and civil authorities if you used a stop work authority for a serious safety situation and they fired you.
The company I just finished a job for in the nuclear industry drills using the stop work authority into every employees head as they would rather stop the job than get someone hurt or worse.
