Congratulations to Ryan on his 7th place run in the Daytona 500 qualifier last night!! Guess he learned how to draft pretty quick!! Too bad Lou isn't here to watch, but sure he is looking down from above!!
GOOD RACING!!!

Ryan looked great while the old driver of that car looked silly ! Thumbs up!

Who's that?? Not Trevor Bayne, he is just a young driver and won the Daytona500 a couple of years back!!

Yes Walt I felt bad for Trevor because he looked silly ( or as you said " just a young driver" )as he turned into turn one a little too quick and turned it around .. Ryan looked cool and steady like a veteran . It just hit me as a comparison because Trevor has a big time ride now but started with a mishap.

Yes Davy, the car being loose has nothing to do with it. What an idiotic statement.
2022 - 66 Races @ 16 Tracks
2021 - 100 Races @ 32 Tracks
2020 - 56 Races @ 15 Tracks
2019 - 75 Races @ 23 Tracks
2018 - 66 Races @ 26 Tracks
2017 - 62 Races @ 18 Tracks
2016 - 42 Races @ 7 Tracks

Idiotic statement ? wait aren't you promoting Tri-City with Bagdad Bob?
Ya the car was loose just like every other car.. and he looked silly crashing it all by himself .
He is a great kid and I hope he does well . but on that day without respect to him winning the Daytona 500 he looked silly "COMPARED" to Ryan Blaney.
Michael Waltrip won the race 2 times but no one ever looked more silly than he when he wrecked his car leaving pitt road in 2009 and couldn't even get his new team in the field for a few weeks.of his first season as a car owner.
Trevor Baine doesn't have that luxury of being named Waltrip . Earnhardt or Petty or Dillon/Childress .. He will have to do good to stay at that level ( witch he already has in the past!)
He did great in that 21 at superspeedways with 3 top 10s in 58 starts including winning the Daytona 500 and average at the rest of the tracks.
On that day Ryan Blaney looked awesome and Trevor looked silly . Maybe on sunday it will be the other way around , Trevor can draft with the best of them !
When Montoya screwed up at Indy leading the race ...He looked really silly!( the winner of the Monaco Gran Prix!) It was the start of the downward spiral that sent him packing ..
At that level .. that little spin is not a little issue in the big picture if he doesn't erase it with performance on the track .
There have been countless guys who were great until they stepped foot in nascar , and with a bad finish here and mistake there .. sent them packing .
Scott Pruett comes to mind . just never worked out for him . winner of the 24 hrs of Daytona and many others like 10 times ??
JMO .. but idiotic? I think you cornered the market on that promoting Tri-City.
didn't intend to change the subject !
Ryan has grandpas talent ! saw Dave talking about his dad one time and stated that Lou was " a natural " at driving and that he and Dale had to work at it a bit harder . I believe Ryan does have lou's natural ability and a level head on his shoulders too .
Best of luck !

Ryan did a nice job today until "helped" into the wall by Tony Stewart!! Then all the way back up to 11th from 39th before the engine blew. Lou would have been proud!!!
GOOD RACING TO ALL!!!
