The predictions as a whole are entertaining, well a little bit anyway. But this category called " Biggest Disappointment " ruins the whole thing. These teams are racing to make a living and entertain us in the process and nobody should be belittled by being named as biggest disappointment. That makes the person who came up with it a "dong", to be polite. Maybe this person has an issue with Craig Dollansky ?

I have no issue with Craig at all. I've never spoken to him so I can't say I know him, but he seems like a straight up guy and I respect all that he's done in the sport. But I have seen struggles with the Destiny Motorsports team both this year and seasons past, which is why I don't think we'll get a season from Dollansky that we're accustomed to seeing. By all means I hope he has a great season. I was just giving my opinion and I respect yours as well. Thanks for reading.

This isn't the same team, and they have a goal to compete and be successful at this level.
How would you like to be reading that someone has named you ' biggest disappointment ' ?

I can solve the complaint about  winning the biggest disappointment category! It was my divorce settlement, any one of the 3 of them.!

I'm sure this team is or should be more concerned about their performance in speedweeks than an opinion of someone writing a column. This type of press is supposed to inspire debate. It sounds to me like it worked. If the writer had said everyone was going to have a great year, that may have made you happy, but it wouldn't be very interesting.

This type of press is supposed to help sell the wares of the advertisers that buy space on the page it's on, by drawing readers there.
Unless you ARE the writer of it ;) you don't know what the writer thought.
It's a stupid category and shouldn't have been included, if I was writing such an article I wouldn't even think in that direction. Predicting someone will do poorly isn't a help to our sport and was in poor taste.
That's my opinion.

So anyone that predicts a team in MLB or the NFL to finish last in their division is guilty as well. They should only predict the winners? This is not PeeWee football. Not everyone gets a trophy for participation.  These guys are big boys. If their feelings are hurt, they will get over it. You are entitled to your opinion, so am I.

Don't you know the WoO is giving out ribbons for participation these days? And we're no longer gonna keep track of positions, everybody is a winner now!

what i see on the WOO is a bunch of rich people that want to rub the heads of the poor people. NASCAR does the same. limit the money spending so others can play!! there are thousands of better drivers out there that are limited by cash. fix that and the sport grows instead of sinking. personally i am tired of watching the same rich people race. LIMIT SPENDING OR WATCH THE SPORT CONTINUE TO DIE!!!!!

That's correct.

I don't like Schatz, but he is currently the best 410 winged Sprint driver in the world. He has the backing because of that very fact, not because he bought it.

Talent will generally (not always) earn drivers better rides, regardless of the era. Having said that, I have seen more teams accomplish less with more over the years than vice versa. One example I can think of are the Chesson brothers. It's true they won some races, but they were better funded than most of the 410 teams of their time, but their success was no where near commensurate with the money that family spent.

Then there are the Danica Patricks of the world who possess marginal talent at best, but have unlimited resources because of the fact the that she is an attractive marketing machine.

nice post! you have a good point and perspective on the subject.    danica is quite a marketing tool. with average talent.    NASCAR needs to rethink what is happening to them.  NASCAR believes the public is so stupid that thier stunts go unnoticed.  but Vince MCMann is still making money hand over fist so i guess maybe the public is a little naive!
