In our efforts to remove human error from scoring we have elected to proceed with a transponder system. This is to ensure from the start of our first season we are as accurate as possible with any and all drivers. This AMB transponder system is the same system that is ran at Mercer Speedway, Lernerville, and Clinton County (Racing for Hero’s). The tracks parts dealer GFY Racing Supply has transponders available for purchase. These will be mandatory for all classes and must be operational by the first point’s race. Answer is, yes you can buy them anywhere. Most guys probably already have them. There are two common styles. This red mylaps version is what pretty much everyone in the area uses. There's also a yellow (can't remember brand). I don't know if they are compatible at all but I'd be safe and get the red one.

Red (AMBiT) and Yellow (Westhold). You will have to get the red one, because the AMB system does not pick up the yellow transponders.

Thanks guys. Now for second stupid question, is the track requiring purchase of a subscription to utilize it at their facility?

Please follow the link to Mylaps on the attachment in the original post. It should answer some questions. I will answer a couple of questions I have gotten as they have been explained to me:

Yes, current AMB red transponders will work with the new X2 system without any further cost.

Yes you can still buy your own transponder

The benefit if the new flex subscription plans is not having to shell out 500 all at once, and you have a better warranty and insurance! This means if you get in a bad crash and your transponder gets smashed it is covered, if you buy you own you only have a warranty against defective product.

In my opinion the 5 year plan for $300 is the way to go, that's $60 a year, the insurance is worth it.

When will the second order be placed?

Well, I haven't received the first order yet, I was advised that they are backed up and I may get some of them this week.  So I'm guessing that I can still add to the first order at this time.
