Hi guys,

This weekend will be only 8 weeks out from the race so I'm beginning my fundraising efforts for the race.  Remember 100% of what I raise goes into the purse and not into any one else's pocket.  I'm asking anyone who has sponsored this race in the past to do so again, and if any one new wants to get involved it would be GREATLY appreciated.  Most of the sponsorships/donations I get run from $50-$250 but anything helps.  Please let me know if you'd like to help support the biggest Pro Stock Race in the area in the memory of a great man.  This race is truly what we make it.

Also, it looks like we will be doing our annual findraising event Friday May 1st at the Loose Moose Saloon in Baldwin with great drink specials and door prizes.  Please keep that date in mind as well, info on that to follow.

Thanks in advance,  My contact info:

I'll try to make up the 30,000 drunk college kids that are normally at PPMS on a Saturday night watching Pro Stocks in another way.

There's more people just in 1 of the 500 bathrooms at Chesney than a good night at ppms lol

Wanted to thank Vicki Emig from the newly formed RUSH Pro Stock Series for sponsoring the event and also adding a $250 bonus should a GM 602 or 604 Crate legal under PPMS RUSH rules win the race, making it potentially $2,250 to win.

Leave it to the resident expert on all things life and business to throw in his non-sense on a post that is for a good cause. I don't think too many of the people who go to Kenny Chesney would have been at Pittsburgh anyways. They will be more interested in trashing parking lots all day. Big kudos to Mr. Laboon for this great race he puts on every year and to all the sponsors who are stepping up. I am sure the drivers will appreciate racing for more money.

602 is a long shot for sure! But an Old 350 is ok at PPMS jake say! But the track can still be tacky in may! like most of the laboon races

I wanted to thank the folks who reached out to me to get involved in this race this week: Jim Fosnaught, Jesse Brock Racing, Tyler Dietz Racing/Fabrication, Davey Lee- FloorSpa Radiant Floors, Mike Wilkeson- dirttalkin.com, Jeff Broniszewski, Eric Piotrowski, and Ground Effex Landscaping.  I can honestly say without your support and the people mentioned above this would not be possible or the purse would have to be cut so thank you very much.  Still a lot of ground to cover so again anyone who would like to get involved please contact me.

I am proud to announce this year we will have the first non-qualifiers race, sponsored by Dobs Auto.  Additional purse money was also added by Dirttalkin.com.

$300 to win, $175 for 2nd, $125 for 3rd, then $100 on back.  The winner will also get a $50 gift card from Dietz Fabrication.  I think this will be great for someone who couldn't make the big show or had some bad luck in a heat to be able to still win a race and make some additional money.

^ haha... I am actually working with Matt to make that happen.  We have a good offer, just need to find a big sponsor for that!  It's about $1,100 with permits for a 5 minute show.

So yeah if anyone knows a huge sponsor who would want to present the "XYZ business fireworks display" for the ELM let me know!  Highly unlikely I know, but never know.

Not that simple with insurance and county permits these days.  Also need to be licensed.

Trust me man, after some of the parties I've had over the years on the 4th, I've done a lot more than just a 5 min show haha!  I consider myself a professional without the license

I have a very close friend that is licensed to do fireworks, super good guy if you want me to get ahold of him to see if he is interested let me know...my cell is   724 699 4278... I am sure he would do it for WAY WAY less than anyone else, just likes to set them off...would not doubt it if he would do it for free, just have the fireworks bought and he would do it...

Some folks suggested I set up a site for smaller personal donations.  So here you are.  Please still contact me personally for larger ones as they take a cut of the funds raised.  Thanks.
