Thats all we need another engine for mercers bastard sprint car class. If you want to run a 350 c.i. start your own class and quit trying to ruin the 305 class

Joe ran a 602 not a 604.
Will they run the 604 with the 305's ?

we are very thankful for the help of everyone involved and hope that it will open the opportunity for people to get into racing that might not other wise had the chance

I will come back in a bit with more information or people interested can con contact Don or myself

Legal at mercer.

No, no, no. This 604 crate engine is not legal to compete with the Outlaw Sprint Warriors at Mercer.

Why not run it with the OSW?
It fits the HP range of a 305 and you already run just about everything under a 360.

Lets see a Gressman 305 for $20,000. - $25,000.00 or a 604 for $6,000.00 - $10,000.00.
(Brad why can't you tell us what a total package 604 sprint engine cost?)

Racing is getting way out of hand, when you spend over $15,000.00 for a entry level class, that's nuts!

we have posted all pricing on the other message boards but we get beat up for "advertising" on this site so I omitted the pricing
send me a PM and I will send you full pricing or check hoseheads or Indiana open wheel or 4M

the 604 "by the numbers" would be an advantage in competition with 305's used in the OSW's

we may field test the 604 this year with OSW cars but the 602 seems to be a good choice with the given rule package for OSW

the idea is not to have an advantage but to give an avenue for people to get into the sport without mortgaging their house

we are using the 604 in several other sanctions and many tracks are looking at 604 or 602 only sprint racing---none of that is in the western PA area so don't be alarmed

we are very excited about and dedicated to the crate sprint car program ---it can be used as an economical blend to 305's and 360's or stand alone-----there are many options being explored

as ever
Brad

To clarify, you get beat up for pulling your ad because the content of this message board is below your standards, but advertising for free in your posts.  Being a hypocrite is what you get grief about, not the "advertising".

If at first you don't succeed, then maybe you just suck.

What is nuts is spending that $15K because you can, not because you have to. There are decent 410 teams around here that can't and won't spend that kind of money on an engine. How many times do you people have to be told that you can't prevent racers from pissing away unnecessary amounts of money? For many of them, it is in their DNA.

That's true if you plan on racing in central Pa. In W. Pa., there are many 410 teams that are competitive with used, budget equipment.

My point was, spending $15K on just the engine for a budget class that pays $350 to win is moronic. Those same guys could do better to spend that money on a used 410 and race for more.

First off there is no team in Central PA running a engine in the $15,000.00 range,
$25,000.00 and up.
A new Outlaw quality engine cost $50,000.00 and you can bet your
ass the top 15 teams in Central PA have that!

The top guys running in Western PA are spending $20,000.00 and up.

I agree 100% that you have to be a moron to spend that kind of money on a 305 but some do. You know racers they need the best, that's another reason the sealed 604 would be a good choice.

I didn't say there were any teams in Central Pa. spending $15K on an engine. Re-read the original post.
