Rough, but really fast track.

Sprints, Lynch, Jr., who had all he could handle from A.J. Flick. Great race. That kid has served notice that he will be a weekly threat.

Late Models, Russell King, after a race long battle with Jared Miley. Real good race.

Cooter King won a wild ass BB Mod race over a #19 from N. Y. whose name I never did catch. Both Carl Murdick and Steve Feder flipped. Feder's was particularly violent. Both were okay.

Terry Young won a very competitive Sportman race.

All things considered, it was a great night of racing.

The racing was pretty good overall, but the track caused too many wrecks, not blaming anyone, there's been a lot of rain and the track just broke up in the corners.  I really enjoyed A.J. Flick and Ed Lynch battling it out, looks like another Danny Holtgraver in the making.  Nice field of cars, nice crowd, and great weather. Kudos on the new scoreboard.

Sportsman, crate motors 2016, that is unless somebody wakes up. I wonder. Could this be a PUSH to have some guys move up ? Could this be the long term plans of some tracks ?
I wonder if they ordered 24 crate motors if G.M. would cut the cost ? As usual, most cars in class, many times the best race of the night. The little guy may have just taken another one for the team...

Leave the Sportsmen Stocks alone!!!!
These guys put on the best show just about every night.
The rules that are in place for the diffrent model engines seem to work well.

WRG does not know what is best for this class. And making Crates mandatory certainly isn't going to save anyone money. What it will do is put money into the manufacturers, distributors and more than likely WRG's collective pockets.

It seems to that end, greed will kill a great, competitive division. Honestly, if I had a car there and this rule comes to pass, I'd tell Risch, Jr. and the rest of them to kiss my ass and you'll never see me at Lernerville again. Either run Saturday, or DHS or TMS on Friday.

DHS is mandatory 602 crates in the pure stocks and the 604 for the street stocks in 2016 as of now, with this season being a transition year for the crate motors.

I really think they should leave the sportsman alone, just enforce the rules. Do not let Chris Schneider run late model stuff in this class!  It is a conflict to have a car builder run whatever, without any rule enforcement. What track would mess with a class with the most cars and the lowest pay out? The cost to some of these teams to go to the crate motors could be the demise of this class.
