The weather was the best it has been for a long time and the track was good for thr first show of the year, some very popular wins tonight Adam Kekich took the 4000.00 to win 410 SPRINT SHOW while Cody Bova bested the 305,but the one so many people have been waiting for happened tonight with Tommy Kristyak winning his first feature in quite a while and after a long layoff from racing I am so proud of all the drivers ,crews and supporters of a local track like Mercer.

I will make a very bold statement and say we have some of the best seasoned racers and very talented young drivers in the area if you are looking for some good old fashioned grass roots dirt track racing you need look no farther than MercerRaceway Park on Saturday night.

I am so honored to be involved there as Chaplain and Track Welder for 24 years I almost feel guilty for the blessing I have and continue to receive from Saturday night racing in western Penna wont you join me and be blessed also.

Serving God thru the racing Family

It was a great night for the race. To bad Brandon Spithaler lost a tire in the feature. He would of probably won the feature. I was disappointed with the amount of sprint cars at the track. With a $4000 purse there should of been more drivers competing.

Don't know what the rest of the purse was like.

The All Starts were at Wayne County Saturday night and the PA Posse guys make too much money at home to come to western PA on weekends!!  Low car counts are what we are living with nowadays!!

It's not a case of too much, just more to be sure. And with purses the same as five or ten years ago, we shouldn't look for a change.

I also heard rumors that Bonnell wants to put up the money when he knows cars wont come. From what i understand, he likes to keep it all in the local area. That was the idea behind it when he put up the $4000 last year on the weekend of the Knoxville Nationals

We know that one local team won $4000. Best information indicates that is $2500 more than a regular show pays.

You can be sure if Scott does anything it is for others and not himself he is one of the nicest guys in the racing game you would ever meet, Scott has known much pain from racing yet he has never been bitter, whenI was going through the most difficult time of my life there was three racers that encouraged me very strongley and he was one of them and to be fair it wasnt 3 it was more like the entire racing family.

Whatever Scott or any other member of the family does it should be appreciated and not second guessed I very seldom say anything like this but I feel keeping quiet about this type of goodness would be wrong of me.

Thankyou Scott and all the wonderful racers that allow me into their lives on a daily basis

Chaplain Bill
