That wasn't an AR event. It was an open race.

No sanction. Crate late models. 19 cars. All this talk about crate late model racing as being the savior of late model racing. 19 cars. Maybe this is a sign. Racing and rules are starting to price themselves right out of town. You would think all the new cars, early in the season, decent purse, maybe Dog hollow just didn't want to pay the sanction fee.

If it was Rush sanctioned you would have had more cars. We would have towed up from Md.

Lm can you explain that to me ??? You will tow from Maryland for 50 dollars if it's sanctioned to " feed the pig " but you won't tow for 50 if it's not ???

I don't need to explain anything to you. Your just an ??? who trolls this board with dumb ass comments. I don't need to hear how successful your company is either. I'm an electrical contractor who does just fine for myself but you know what BFD!  Means zip on here.

You take every opportunity to bash Rush and crate racing in general. That's fine. It's a free country. Your entitled to your opinions but when you continually post the same crap it makes you look foolish and diminishes any valid points you may have.

As far as Dog Hollow goes most crate guys don't want a bunch of tires to pick from. It just cost more money. On top of that with no sanction there is zero chance of any real tech and no consequences for cheating.

I see your point .... Guys probably build Clements crate engines to race those couple unsanctioned races a year ... Because you know for a grand to win that even makes sense .. You just hate the fact that I'm right

LM63, So you're saying since they are operating under the CARS series there won't be any tech? Not sure about that one when they are paying out $20k in their point fund.

"CARS" is mostly a tire deal with American Racer and I question they have any interest in teching the cars. Probably leave that up to the individual tracks such as Dog Hollow, Marion Center and Raceway 7 who have signed on with their program.  At least that is my understanding being somewhat removed from those tracks.

There is a technical rule book that follows this series and the tracks that are running the program. Its basically a RUSH/Fastrak on American Racers.

Per the CARS series overview:

"TECH INFO One of the most important things about a Crate division is that teams are on a level playing field in terms of what is under the hood of these machines.  That is why teching is so important.   We will have a tech inspector traveling unannounced to all of our participating tracks throughout the season to ensure that everything is on the level.  We plan on monitoring situations at speedways throughout the season and will respond accordingly to any issues that arise."

Like I said, with additional money on the line to be paid out it would be foolish for them not to tech. That would be like Legend's Bro, Obama, and his handouts. No accountability.

Tech ??? You sir are a toss off

I was only speaking of the open show last week at Dog Hollow. I have no idea what kind of tech will actually be done at those tracks throughout the year.  I don't think it's any secret among crate racers that there were already a few questionable motors being run there and Marion Center. Time will tell on tech with the CARS deal.

Jon you just keep reinforcing the point I was trying to make earlier every time you post another comment.  Enough said!

I have no beef with you, if you are happy running RUSH, so be it. But aside from his harsh language, JH happens to be spot on with many of his observations about the entire crate concept.

I get a kick out of guys running sanctions. hey, I love them too. but if one track has a unsanctioned race, all the guys going must be the cheater cars. well, all those cars race both from night to night. martin, saterlee, miley, latta, and many others race both. are they gonna buy a motor for two or three unsanctioned races, and then change it to a rush motor. most have been in this a long time, and if you really think a cheater motor wins regularly in crates, your smoking something. it's setup that gets the checkers. if somebody pulls in with a super motor, then I'd raise the old eye brows.. lm63, you didn't even have to buy ar's, as rush hoosiers won the race. to me, a lot of guys missed out on a good time..

I am amazed that anyone would think that tires had anything to do with winning a crate race at the dog. miley works or worked at rocket gee think that might help.

You put any of the top local super or steel block late drivers in a crate and they'll be winning in short order too.

And to think tires didn't play a role in winning is just crazy talk. I remember for many years Hoosier played heck trying to win a race at Dog Hollow and Marion Center. Yes they picked up a few wins here and there but American Racer dominated.

19 cars. Why or where mite be a better question to ask ? I still can't understand why they didn't have a full field. It will be quite interesting to see if car counts come up. Weather was good, purse was acceptable.

If they would have not cancelled the race Saturday they would have had even less cars with Marion Center running crate lates too...
