Anybody know what the Al Cramer memorial will pay this year.  I never have much luck getting info from the track.  Trying to decide between the Knob and Hesston.

The Al Cramer race was rained out on Saturday. Lets hope for word on a rain date.

Schedule already says May 2 but I know they cut the pay last year and Hesston is paying 700.

Yes last year paid only $500 to win. We were able to round up $600 for it last year. The first year we had a lot more interest in companies and friends and family contributing toward the race, along with us having the ability to put in around $3,000 of our own money to be able to have the purse that the first race had. This year due to various circumstances we were unable to collect any money for the race, therefore, the track will be providing the purse and aren't sure what it will be either. Thank you for your interest in the race and your inquiry into it.

We are hoping to have the rain date moved a few weeks back as we and a few others have stated to us, plan to be at Hesston this week end. As a family we appreciate your interest and would like nothing more than to be able to provide the kind of purse we did in 2013. With that said the sponsors for the race let alone our own racing program have been non-existent for this season. Again thank you for your inquiry.

Thanks for the reply.  I would really like to see the race moved back a few weeks.  We like the knob and run well there but its a 5 hour tow for us.  Hope you get them to move it.  Thanks

We have contacted the track, awaiting word back. We will most likely be at the knob this week mostly because I don't want to lose the pit pass money since we don't plan to run any other races down there this year.
