I've been searching for a 1989 Jeff Gordon photo for a couple of years now, with no luck. The photo was taken at Sandusky Speedway, Aug 2, 1989. I know the photo was published in the "Mid American Auto Racing News" after the race.

Jeff had won his first pavement race there while driving for Stan Shoff. My fiancé was his mechanic at the time. After the race they all got on the track for a winning photo. My fiancé never received a copy of that photo.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Usually they print the photographers name with the photo, who was the photographer?

Karl Kammer the track photographer at Wayne County Speedway would be a excellant person to start with.

I've talked with Karl and Al, who were both photographers that day at the race. I've gotten the same response from both "my old negatives are in multiple boxes in my attic, not sure where to start".

I've spoken with the Sprint Car Hall of Fame, I've tried Stan Shoff's kids.. I just sent out another email to Sandusky Speedway yesterday to the general manager. This will be my third attempt to contact the speedway.
