lol maybe but when I pack up to go to a track I dont care if im there till 3am watching race cars. My kids can sleep on the way home and I make sure im ready for the late night. This bullshit about dragging shows is stupid. Anybody remember challenger where they would wait rain out till 10 pm and still put on a show till 3am. The fair weather fans are killing the sport.

I know when I go to the races I don't like to see any passing or drama for the lead like at the dream ... 10 to go restart with the best there ever was sitting in second with 100k on the line ... Naaaaah that puts a fella to sleep .... I prefer to really watch close to see what line guys are running as the leader laps them and runs away with it .... THATS excitement !!!

Weather is an enirely different issue from a slow, boring back gate program that features an inexplicably long intermission. Hard core fans will put up with it. The trouble stems from the fact that hard core fans are not being replaced at a rate at which many tracks can sustain an acceptible profit margin. In the age of Raceceivers and transponder aided scoring, there isn't a need for 5 hour plus shows, unless there is a serious accident, equipment failure or inclement weather.

The Dream was a great race. 99 laps, and a white flag lap that will not be forgotten for years to come. The #6 that got the win deserved it. He was going to eat Bloomquist going into 1 if it wasn't for the 20 car. But, that is exactly why it's not over till the checkers wave. O sorry, till the green light comes on at the scales. That 25 lbs. was expensive. Great race, if Bloomquist did get that green light that would have been win #7 that is impressive, I don't care if you like the guy or not

This amuses me ... Everyone has the world by the balls and knows everything there is to know about racing. All of those chassis adjustments are real easy to make when you don't drive the car and your 30 beers deep tossing off around a camp fire. It's a lot more difficult in reality. The super late guys at ppms are very experienced and spend a majority of their free time on racing. They are not easy to beat. There's not a lot of them every week but with the ones who show up its hard to beat them all on the same week. I work 80+ Hours a week year round. I do really like working on race cars and racing but real life is my priority. Working 40 hours and losing money is not a productive use of my time. However i do enjoy that challenge of trying to beat those guys on the couple nights a year I show up. And yet I always get these stupid comments on here from the penis gallery that since I'm not broke and have a bunch of equipment that I should easily go out there and win even though I rarely ever race. That is a straight up slap in the face to the guys who dedicate all of their free time to this sport . You are insulting them way more than your insulting me. You guys that run your mouth don't even have a car out there beating me .... I
Just don't understand why everything I do is graded on a curve by you clowns. Money doesn't buy wins unless your paying to have Robbie Allen or similar work on your car around the clock and make the calls at the races for you. I wouldn't take any pride in that , I want to win or lose on my own , with how I set the car up , the adjustments I made the tires I grooved with the shocks I built and the race I drove. Get a damn car and come out I think you would be surprised how hard it actually is to beat experienced racers who take this shit seriously .

including yourself

All of those chassis adjustments are real easy to make when you don't drive the car and your 30 beers deep tossing off around a camp fire.

you would know

I work 80+ Hours a week year round.

we all know, you tell everyone constantly, and not one of us cares

I always get these stupid comments on here from the penis gallery

thats because we all follow your lead and cant formulate a thought beyond seventh grade maturity level

I Just don't understand why everything I do is graded on a curve by you clowns.

again seventh grade, youre unable to understand reality

I want to lose on my own

you are doing that very well, and not only at racing

This amuses me ...

me too

I get that skull. Thats what I mean by fair weather fans.when I go to a track I figure one hour per class gives me a pretty good idea how long il be there. Most people now days only come to see one or two divisions and complain about the others. But those other classes help pay the purse.

80 hours a week working and 40 hrs a week on here IS A BUSY WEEK !

14g To some people Having a " Race Car " is NOT about racing at all !

Sitting in the stands with hundreds of people and your local hero is driving double duty and the croud rours ,

The facility didn't seem too bad . BUT That issue with the loudspeakers on and off is annoying !

Nice job getting the lights in 3 to work again smoothly without stopping the races ! The lights guy probably bites his fingernails and looks nervous all the time.

12 or 13 late models may be the great Recession normal  this year

.

the answer was in response to asked  said there was very little racing at ppms everyone looks at it different. I use to just watch the leader but  have changed when i use to drive, being  car owner I still look at it as a driver  But give all those who put a car on the track credit for doing something only other talk  about. No matter where they run they are racing and doing what they love. Since I have only been in racing a few years I do not know as much as the complainers and know it alls, its  sport I love and hope I can continue in it till I pass on.

Legend, on all occasions I just read these posts like many others I'm sure and just shake my head and chuckle at the pissing matches many individuals get into on here. But, I actually do agree with you 100%. At least your making a attempt at something that you believe is a uphill struggle over the guys that yes as you say and yes it is very true. The top running cars. These guys winning in ANY division are spending a ton of hours on car preparation. Tires, Shocks and scales. Shock valving is just out of control for the local guy to be competitive, unless your paying someone to do it for you. Tires is another huge Issue. Let's see do I cut them, block them or sand them ? Enjoy the time you make it to the track. Maybe someday that card mite fall just where you want it. I tried for 2 yrs in A sprint car. I finally figured, after spending stupid sums of money that if I wanted to run with the pack it was going to take a lot more than I had. KNOWLEDGE. ITS PRICELESS.
