FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Hesston Speedway Cranks Up the Payoff for “Revolution 2015” on July 2 with $4,000 to Win!

(Mars, PA) After a massive crowd and strong car count supported the inaugural “New” UFo event in May, Hesston Speedway has cranked up the payoff for UFo “Revolution 2015” presented by Dave’s Auto Body of Woodbury, PA.  UFo Super Late Models will now race for $4,000 to win on Thursday, July 2.

JELT Enterprises, Inc. continues to operate Hesston Speedway with the same successful formula as former owner D.R Eriksen used.   D.R would often reward competitors with increased payoffs after well attended events.     JELT Enterprises, Inc. with the sponsorship of Dave’s Auto Body has now increased “Revolution 2015” to a $4,000 to win championship for the UFo Super Late Models from the previously scheduled $3,000 to win event.  24th will pay $400 with positions 25 and over paying $375 if utilized.     The traditional Area-51 lap feature will return to the UFo circuit for this event.

The UFo Super Late Model starting grid will also be determined by driver attendance.  A 33 Super Late Model car count will see 26 cars start the feature, with 28 starting if 37 cars attend and 30 cars starting with 41 cars in attendance.   All non-qualifiers will receive $150.   Super Late Models will have a $25 entry fee for this event.

A strong field of competitors is expected as no other competing events are scheduled in the region that night.  UFo will be racing at Dog Hollow Speedway on the following night, July 3 with the “Sam Barley Championship” paying $3,000 to win, setting up an excellent two-day tour for Super Late Model teams.

All division on the program will race in championship events for increased payoffs.  Semi-Lates (limited/steel block/crate) will race 30 laps for $1,000.  The open-wheel E-mods will return for $800 to win in a 25 lap championship.  Cadets will race 25 laps for $575 and Hobby-Modifieds will race 20 laps for $300 in a feature-only program.

UFo will “go home” on Friday, June 12 as Dog Hollow Speedway at Strongstown, PA will presents the “Shawn Sheetz McGarvey Championship.”   Dog Hollow Speedway is located in Indiana County, Pennsylvania, the same county where the first-ever UFo race was contested in 2008.

The “Shawn Sheetz McGarvey Championship” will showcase the UFo Super Late Model feature paying $3,000 to win and $250 to start.  This event honors the 7-time Dog Hollow champion and all-time feature winner at the track.  Shawn also holds other track titles and feature wins as well as finishing fifth in the inaugural UFo Championship.

The UFo Super Late Models will compete in a 41-lap feature at Dog Hollow.  Dog Hollow has become a Friday night Super Late Model power in the region, with large fields of cars at every race this season.  Dog Hollow has also stepped up their Super Late Model program featuring five championship events for the season including the “ThunderDog Showdown” fall mega-event.  The excellent surface at Dog Hollow has been producing three and four wide racing this year.  CARS Crate Late Models, Pure Stocks and Sidewinder four cylinders will also be in competition June 12.

The UFo “Shawn Sheetz McGarvey Championship” will include bargain family pricing with no increase in that ticket package from regular shows.   A family with two adults and two children between ages 7-12 will be admitted for $30 including two hot dogs and two drinks.   A family with two adults and three children between agest 7-12 can purchase a ticket for $35 including three hot dogs and three drinks.  Students 13-17 will be admitted for $8 and children 7-12 will be admitted for $6, which represents the same pricing as a weekly show.

Special event ticket pricing will apply to other ticket prices.  Grandstand admission will be $17 and senior citizens $15.  All pit passes will be $32.   Super Late Model entry fee will be $25, which will be deducted from final payoff from the track.  Pit gates will open at 4:30, with grandstands at 6:00 and racing at 7:30.   Pill draw cutoff and drivers meeting will be approximately 6:45.  Rain date for this event will be Sunday, June 14.

The following weekend, the UFo Championship will visit the historic Port Royal Speedway for the first time.  The “Tri-Star Sizzler” on Saturday, June 20 will feature three powerful divisions.  The UFo Super Late Models will race 35 laps for $3,000 to win and $300 to start.  The mighty 410 Outlaw Sprint cars will compete in their regular $3,200 to win program.  The event will be a double late model division bonus program with the Econo Late Models also in action.

Port Royal is a fast, sweeping clay superspeedway that receives improvements annually.  This year, new clay and guardrails were installed at the track.  The new clay has been providing spectacular racing in 2015.  Port Royal has been generating strong Super Late Model car counts in 2015 with 32 cars attending their recent $2,000 to win program.

UFo Super Late Model teams please take note that the event a Port Royal will have an open brand, minimum hardness tire rule.   American Racer 44 or Hoosier 1300 or harder tires are required, with a minimum hardness of 32 on the track durometer.   All other UFo tire specifications apply.    Port Royal requires AMB (red) transponders.   Rentals are available at the track for $10.

Admission for the UFo “Tri-Star Sizzler” at Port Royal will be $20 for the grandstands and $7 for juniors 12-18.  All pit tickets will be $30.   The $25 Super Late Model entry fee will be deducted from final payoff.  Pit gates will open at 4:30 with grandstands at 5:00.  Drivers meeting an pill draw cutoff will be approximately 6:00, with warm-ups at 6:30 and racing at 7:00.

Super Late Model drivers that are planning on competing in the blockbuster “Mega-100” weekend at Tyler County on July 10-11 may receive discount entry fee of $20 for the entire weekend and be guaranteed $330 to start each of the twin features with early registration.    Drivers may contact the track at the following contact information to register or at http://www.racethemega.com.   The “Mega-100” features the UFo Super Late Models racing in twin $5,000 to win 44 lap features with a $2,000 Alien Annihilation bonus from ASi Racewear if one driver wins both.    The Renegades of Dirt E-mods will race for $12,000 to win in a 100 lap feature with double heat races determining the initial qualifiers.
