Just got the call from Lou Long at the track and they have a couple of trucks stuck in #1 turn that were trying to get the track ready!! I wish some of you guys that bitch all the time would find another sport!!!
Just in case you haven't counted, we have had at least 11 straight days with at least some rain in the western PA area. So give the promoters a break!!! They are the ones loosing money, not you!!!

Would they get the fan support to make it worthwhile? The way things are anymore, I have a hard time answering that one.

If they had 11 straight days of rain, why in the hell are they 'trying" to race, I mean you expert said the grounds have to be soaked from all this rain, right? With rain in the forecast today, why even try it.

Pouring here in Butler at 3:30!! According to the forecast more heavy stuff is coming around 6:00/7:00 so doubt they would have been able to run even if they were able to get the track ready from the 2:00 rain. Sportsmans has also canceled but no word yet on Eriez.
And BTW..........Just wondering where all you bitchers were when Sharon ran last night against all the odds. You will come in and complain about any track that cancels "too early", but never a GOOD word
about a track that runs on a really bad night when they are sure to loose money!! TALK ABOUT FAIR WEATHER FRIENDS!!!

I live about 7-8 miles from the track, and my yard is a swamp. Went to the cemetery today about 1;30 and it started raining, about 2.00 it was pouring, could they have got it in, maybe, glad I'm not the one making that call. I do respect the call they made. Happy Father's Day.

These new owners are trying to rebuild a wrecked reputation. They are having a tough enough time with the weather, they don't need "weather experts" dressed as race fans piling on.

Well put Walt. Nobody understands the cost of operating a race track rain or shine. Sharon Speedway had to lose money their was no crowd there to speak of

Hey Walt, I was at Sharon, they posted a picture and it was dry, so that's an obvious reason why I went. They actually showed proof no rain. Instead of drinking a 24 pack and posting on racestud all night, give it a shot next time everyone cancels except them.

Just went down into the basement and I got to go shop vac the water out. Takes a hard rain to get a wet basement like this. wellerfan must not go outside or has his blinds closed in is room.

Sparkler.....I was at Sharon three weeks ago when they ran and almost no one else did. At age 75 I don't travel as much as I once did and since I got my fix Friday night, I didn't go!! And for your info, I only drank one beer all night last night!!! Don't drink as much beer as I once did either!!!
