FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
UFo Races into July with “Revolution 2015” at Hesston & “Mega-88” at Tyler County!
(Mars, PA) The UFo Championship will march into the month of July with two spectacular events. “Revolution 2015” at Hesston Speedway will pay $4,000 to win on July 2. Then the following weekend, UFo will be part of one of the biggest summer events in the region at “Mega in the Mountains” weekend at Tyler County Speedway on July 9-10-11. The UFo Super Late Models will race for $12,000 possible to win in a companion $16,000 possible to win event for the Renegades of Dirt E-mods.
Hesston Speedway will host their second UFo event of the season on Thursday, July 2. “Revolution 2015” sponsored by Dave’s Auto Body of Woodbury, PA will pay $4,000 to win, $400 for 24th and $375 for 25th and higher feature starting positions. Non-qualifiers will receive $150. To encourage car counts, the Super Late Model starting grid will again be based on car count. 33 cars will see a 26 car starting grid, 37 cars will allow 28 cars to start and 41 cars will generate a whopping 30 car starting grid. This formula produced a strong car count of 35 UFo Super Late Models at the track’s last UFo event in May.
“Revolution 2015” will be a full-throttle event with the powerful Semi-Lates (limited/steel block/crate late models) racing 30 laps for $1,000 to win. The screaming open-wheel E-mods sponsored by LaSalles Engine & Chassis will race 25 laps for $800 to win. Cadets will go 25 laps for $575 to win and the Hobby-Modifieds sponsored by Freedom Powersports will race 20 laps for $300 to win. All positions in all classes feature increased payoffs with the Cadets and Hobby-Modifieds racing in a feature-only format.
Hesston will allow any compound American Racer or Hoosier 11” tire for this event with 16 ¾” maximum cross section and 93” maximum circumference. All tires must meet all other specifications in the UFo rules. Hesston is considering a minimum hardness compound rule for the Super Late Models at future events.
Pit gates will open at 2:30 on July 2, with grandstands opening at 5:00, pill draw cutoff at 6:25 and racing at 7:00. Adult grandstand admission will be $20 with children 12 and under admitted free in the grandstands. All pit tickets will be $36. Track Super Late Model entry fee will be $25.
