I call Obama aka bull$hit that someone could spend 15k on tires that they will use at one race. How many times do you even get on the track ??! 6 ? 10 at most ??? And 4 new tires every time is still 24-40 tires not hundreds like you guys are talking lol

No way you could spend that much for a race. Maybe in a season- (that's been known to happen)

When we ran daytona dirt world championship race in 2011, we took 2 karts, extra bodies, 3 animal engines, 4 flathead engines? And 11 sets of new tires all cut and prepped.
Finished 4th in animal supee heavy and got a plaque.
We now race 305 sprints and its actually cheaper than kary racing was for us. We raced karts for 16years.

Ten sets of 11s cut and prepped with 2 point durometer in between with varying depths of rubber all prepped different. Now multiply that by doing same with 22s and 33 and honestly a set of 55s also. Call Obama all ya want. It happens. That's not saying u will use all sets but the top guys will have that at there disposal. Hence the decline in karting throughout the country.

If anyone ever gets a opportunity to get to shellhammers speedway just north of reading pa. on Rt. 61 GO. You will be shocked. Walk the pits and the equipment some of these teams have is amazing. These racers go from karts to micro's to many other forms of open wheel racing. Many may talk car counts at big races ? But you look at big races for karts, micro's and the entries go into the 100's people. It was said you have spent less in a 305 sprint car. And yet, car counts can't compare to these classes.

We raced at shellhammers many times. Ran hunterstown, selinsgrove, lil greenwood, cove valley, shippensburg, blairsville, flat run, and path valley.
