This Friday Night, July 3rd Motordrome Speedway will hold the Inaugural All-Star Race for the NASCAR Late Models. The event is patterned after the Sprint All-Star Race in Charlotte and will consist of 100 total laps broken out into 3 segments of racing.
The first segment will consist of 50 laps, which will be followed by a mandatory pit stop where all cars will shut off engines and be put on a 10 minute clock to make adjustments.
The fans will pull a pill to decide the invert that will lineup of the field for the segment segment. Segment number 2 will consist of 30 laps followed by a caution. No pit stop will occur following the second segment, but the field will be brought back together.
The third and final segment will consist of 20 laps for the lions share of the prize money ($2,000 to win) and the bragging rights of the Inaugural All-Star Winner.
Qualifying will also consist of a special format as each car will run three green flags laps and the average of all three of the laps will be their final time to set the field.
Cars are expected from Ohio, NY, PA, WV and NC.
Fans will be treated to a Fireworks Extravaganza following the races. Spectator Gates open at 6 pm and NASCAR racing starts at 8 pm.
