Tri-City Raceway Park is proud to announce that they will hold two practice sessions at the speedway to provide competitors and race fans with additional opportunities to visit the newly reopened facility. The first practice session is slated for Wednesday, July 15th and a second practice will be held on Wednesday, August 12th.
"Mother Nature and the weather have not provided us with any opportunity to get our first two racing programs in. Area residents and race teams have been anxiously awaiting the speedway's reopening and we wanted to provide them with the opportunity to see the renovations at the speedway as we well as the chance to get on the track for a few laps," stated Co-promoter Chad Wagner.
The July 15th event will also serve as a Media Day preview. "Several regional journalists have contacted the speedway office as they are excited to provide local residents with a "sneak peek" of the racing action that will take place and this practice session will provide them with the footage they need," continued Wagner. Any local or regional journalists and photographers who would like to attend are asked to contact Marcie Barlow at marcie@tricityracewaypark.com or (724) 816-8482.
