I was watching the races at Mercer and saw someone point out how fast a specific car looked then they said how that motor was built by Don Blackshear who is also the same guy that techs and seals the motors? Maybe someone else should tech the motors he builds? Or mercer should get a whistler or have their tech guy tear a motor or two down? I know he is fully capable because years n years ago he had

I'm not saying it is illegal maybe he is just that fast but the track wasn't very fast last Saturday and you can see the completely obvious difference in times and speed by that car as compared to others here:

www.mylaps.com/en/classification/3582433
The other heat the lead car also had a 15.4-15.5
Same with the feature

You can even look back to the past year and see the driver cut half a second plus off from the end of last year to this year beginning. Just seems fishy to me maybe they built one of the larger out of state legal 305s?

I think maybe the motor builder just wanted to get some good publicity out of a bigger motor personally

At least man up and say which car you're complaining about without being vague

If you're talking about the 58, you understand he went from a racesaver motor (which he won 4 or 5 races with last year), to an all pro motor this year, which there is quite the hp difference. Which is your half second you seem to be worried about.

What's your point? George had a racesaver headed motor last year and won races. He now has a blackshear all pro which is way more power and is winning more. People forget the dude raced micros for longer than most in the division have been alive. He's got a lot of experience and kick ass equipment. Of course he's gonna win a lot

Because he was too much of a pussy to outright say who he was talking about but posted the lap times from the heat he finished 2nd! in, he didn't even win but had the fastest lap time in. Instead of crying about everyone cheating, get your shit better and beat them.
Btw, he didn't even win on Saturday so I don't know what this dudes crying about.

No point. Just saying there is quite a mix of engines and builders in that class and many cars capable of winning.

You're right on that. In fact I'm not sure what this dude is worried about. I don't think George has won at Mercer since May. I wasn't there last week, but the week before that he was 4th and no challenge to the leaders.

Check and read the numbers of post some of these people make on this site.  Seems like they just want to cause problems.  They change names, and post again.  Must have a DULL life.

To answer your question, YES. To make a seperate point, we have run 8 OSW races at Mercer this year with 6 different winners. Clearly the competition is not very balanced, and cheating is running rampant.

This is one time I'll agree with blabber mouth. I highly doubt anyone is cheating.

no one seem to mention hobaugh was running a race saver motor at learnerville last year and finishing top 10 against the 410 sprints! ever think maybe he is a pretty good wheel man? You can have all the power in the world and it doesn't mean a thing if you cant get the car to rotate thru the corner and carry that down the straight away.

This is not about George he doesn't own the car,he drives it It's about a race track allowing an engine builder to build, seal and tech a motor it's total Bs and if we keep beating it into the ground maybe something will change.if someone were to protest a sealed engine built by blackshear where does the engine go to and who tears it down to examine it

So if Don doesn't tech the motors, who should? Or are you saying he shouldn't build motors anymore and pursue the prestigious career of tech man at his local Saturday night speedway?

Let's be clear you think it's a fair practice to build an engine and be the same person who checks it after an engine is protested. I'm not looking for childish arguments just answer the question
