Well ? Has anyone heard of the car count for the sportsman cars last Saturday ? Everyone had a opinion on how it was going to affect the car count at ppms for the Laboon race but the track has not updated there results.

10 cars.  Results received here late Saturday night/early morning.  With the exception of the big race at Pittsburgh and Lernerville, no track I got results from had over 15 cars!!  Hummingbird 8, Sportsmans 7, with Raceway 7 and Eriez both at 12.   The class is in trouble overall, but as I have said many times before, the major problem is too many support classes at most tracks. Lernerville has no other support classes and gets 18-22 cars a week.  As long as tracks continue to have "Pure" Stocks and Mini-stocks at a level below the Street Stocks, the Street Stocks will continue to have poor car counts.

GOOD RACING!!!

Totally agree ! I don't understand how a 8 car support field mini's or fwd can support itself. To many classes and it only diminishes car counts. LOL, unless you where at lernerville in the 70 ' s. 6 classes, and we loved every minute of it.

We showed up with 2 cars and had 6 people in the pits at $30 per person. There were 3 people in the stands just to see me race at $13 per person. After paying us for the win, I think the minis pay for themselves

She wants weekly RUSH racing at Lernerville in the worst way. From my point of view, she knows that Lernerville doesn't need it. Hopefully, the new owners will put a stop to it.

If someone brings dollars in ANY format to a tracks point fund the promoter is going to lean heavily in that direction. I to firmly believe that making the sportsman guy's at lernerville go to crate motors next year is the wrong answer. It is a strong class every Friday night, I think the racing is very good and most importantly has been extremely competitive. If the owners/drivers would man up and discuss there issue's with the new management maybe this crate rule would get looked at. Or, is there more to this story ? Only time will tell, I strongly feel there's a lot more. Why you would disrupt the strongest class you have week in week out makes little to no sense what so ever.
