After the race lynch ran right over flick in the infield bad enough where the ems had to make sure he was ok. What a dirtbag it was completely uncalled for and ridiculous and Lernerville didn't even dq him what a joke I hope aj is ok.

then lynch said during his interview ... " that stuff in the infield, I didn't appreciate that ".....like as if A.J.did it.  those young guys made him feel like an old man and he didn't like it. he wanted to go out and stomp the field in preparation for Tuesday and barely won. feeling your age Ed?

If it wasn't for Slow Poke Rodriguez(Kiley) cutting off AJ coming off of 2, that crap at the line wouldn't of even mattered.

A. J. told me after the races that he has no idea what happened.  He is fine and was talking with family and friends.   There was some damage to the car they will have to fix before Tuesday.

It's just a shame. When AJ won, he stated in his interview that he knew he was catching Ed, but to pass him is a different thing. Yes it was unfortunate that ed had engine problems that night, but that's racing. At least he acknowledged Ed, and showed respect. Then tonight have Ed just monester truck him in the infield, totally classless. It is rumored that Ed stated in the pits, to an official, that AJ is "out of control" and is "all over the track, and can't hold a lane" and "its not over yet, Tuesday is another day." As I see it, Aj is and always has been respectful of all the other drivers, and that's going back to the stock car days. Maybe Ed should watch some videos of the races, and I am pretty sure he will see who really is " out of control " and "can't hold their line", and maybe be surprised with the name. At any rate, it was a BS move that should have had some kind of ruling by the track. Alot of people lost alot of respect for Ed for such a bone headed act.

Couldn't agree more. I think Ed still wants to prove he's the best, but that's no longer the case. I can remember looking up to Ed all my life, and cheering for him when the outlaws come to town. After his little stunt Friday, I can't continue to cheer for someone like that. A.J was in no way, shape, or form upset or mad at Lynch. He was so excited about how good the race was. Ed continued to run his mouth and even blamed A.J. for the incident on Twitter. Seems to me like he needs to seek retirement and begin investing in adult diapers. If he's going to be a big baby, might as well dress the part as well.

I have no vested interest in either driver but here was my take. Aj and Ed were have a great race then coming out of 4, Kiley was actually in front of ED and then ed jumped out in front of Aj to avoid running over kiley and to get the win.   Now if you wanna call that dirty old man driving whatever but I believe any of the other driver on that track would have done the same thing.   Either way, I think AJ wanted to talk about it and when they were pulling into the infield, ED came in hot not hot at aj cause he had nothing to be mad about.  He just over shot the entrance for what ever reason.  The AJ wanted ed to go by him for what who knows at this point slowed way down and ed entrance angle and AJ's speed.  ED ran over top.  AJ didn't seemed pissed about it, because if somebody ran over the front of my car causeing damage for no reason.  I would have beat him to victory lane and there would have been more than a discussion. I am not Ed and I am not AJ but that is what I saw. Both guys in my eyes are still great racers and can't wait to see them do battle for a couple more years.

Walt, IDK seems like you talked to AJ but he really didn't elaborate?

I guess littlle Eddie felt "disrespected". What a jackass move. He's supposed to be the cool, calm veteran, then pulls a bitch move like a 16 year old girl. Any residual respect I had for the guy is gone. I was a fan of his since he started, but there was no reason for that.

Instead of thinking you know what happened, why don' t you go talk to the kid? No, that would be the adult thing to do, and little Eddie's ego won't allow it. He feels threatened because there are all of these young kids that can drive and he is't the center of the Lernerville universe anymore. Get over it.

Crew13.......A. J. didn't seem to have a clue why it happened.  Said he even gave Ed a thumbs up before they reached the infield.  I didn't see it happen as I was writing down the finish in my notebook when I heard noise from those who did see it.  The whole incident seems strange to me!!!  A. J. did tell me that the bottom was faster, but he couldn't get his car to work on the bottom, so that is why he was running up on the cushion.

He said this could be his last year, hence the reference to retirement. I'm just saying, if you're going to do crap like that, especially to a 2nd year driver who has done nothing wrong, then stay home

I always stuck up for the guy. People would wonder why, with the equipment he had, he didn't at least try to run a WoO or even an ASCoC schedule. He was married, busy, had a career in engineering, etc. Alright, all of those are decent arguments. Why not run out in Central Pa. for way more money? Rod George did it for a few seasons, years ago, Why not Ed?

Anyway there is no skirting the subject matter of ths thread. What he did last night I expect out of certain drivers, not him. He was a real likeable guy back in the day but he has turned into a serious asshole.

My question is why did'nt Lernerville DQ him, and give him a few week off. Sounds like Lernerville is giving Ed a free PASS. JMO.

You'r right Skull  he is a draw, but fans come to see other Drivers also! His Dad also put fans in the stands and look what happened to him. Personally i liked watching them both. Ed Sr and Jr are talented drivers their records speak for them selves. But. still Lernerville should have done something. Again JMO.

White flag, Ed Lynch and Donnie Schatz down the backstretch, thru 3 and 4 Lynch wins by a nose. Everyone on here would be calling it the greatest race they ever saw. LOL
By the way. It did happen only he beat Mark Kinser. The place went nuts. If anyone remotely thinks Eddie pulled this intentionally. Your clueless as to how easy these cars get destroyed from contact.

It was clearly intentional, and it was with Schaffer for the win. You really are clueless. And it was a good race. No one is arguing that, it's the after race BS that Lynch pulled afterwards. He is just mad cause this was supposed to be a year highlighted by him and Cy. Father and son....hasn't worked out well for either, and he is pouting. Pour fella.
