(Middlebourne, West Virginia) - The Renegades of Dirt Modified Tour is wasting absolutely no time getting back after it following the successful MEGA 100 which witnessed the biggest car count in tours history at The Bullring. Now another huge double header weekend of activities is on tap for the high octane open wheel modified touring series sweeping the Mid Atlantic United States. The Renegades of Dirt Modified Tour presented by Arizona Sport Shirts will star the weekend in a pair of prestigious events at two of the finest facilities in the Keystone State of Pennsylvania; Lernerville Speedway and the Pittsburghs PA Motor Speedway. The tour will be in action each night July 24th and 25thfor the 4th Annual Duel on Dirt.
On Friday night July 24th the Lernerville Speedway in Sarver, PA will host the Renegades of Dirt Modified Tour presented by Arizona Sport Shirts for the first on only visit in 2015. The visit also marks only the third time the tour has crossed into the Keystone State of Pennsylvania in its rich four year history. The famed Lernerville Speedway will await the Beasts of the East for a $1,500 to win 25 Lap main event that is sure to provide plenty of fireworks on the big 3/8 mile red clay oval.
Now owned by the World Racing Group and promoted by Gary Rische Jr. the Lernerville Speedway annually hosts some of the biggest events in the Northeast. A highly sought after Renegade of Dirt Tour win at Don Martins Lernerville Speedway will headline any racers career as Ischua, New Yorks Rich Michael Jr experienced Lernerville Glory in 2014. Then on the following night Saturday July 25th the Renegades of Dirt Modified stars and cars will be headlined for their awaited return in three years and only their 2nd visit back to the .625 mile clay oval Pittsburghs PA Motor Speedway in Imperial, PA just outside Pittsburgh. From the heritage of the Heidelberg Raceway came Pittsburghs Pennsylvania Motor Speedway.
There is a lot of history about the great dirt track just outside the bright lights of Pittsburgh. The Heidelberg Raceway was the home of the Pittsburgher 250 and closed in 1973 as a newer modern metro-Pittsburgh surrounded the area. Most of the facilities were relocated to build PPMS in 1979 and 10 years later the Pittsburgher made its glorious return in 1989 until today. The Renegades of Dirt North competitors will go at it for a $1500 to win show in front of a facility that can seat and hold in previous years past 10,000+ screaming race fans. This will be a big weekend for the E-Mods!!! After the Renegade races at Lernerville and Pittsburgh, the UEMS E-Mods will be running at Tri-City for $1,000 on Sunday. It will be interesting to see if any of the out of state E-Mods such as Kyle Strickler stick around for another shot as some good money?? Tri-City also has a BRP Mod Tour race for $5,000 and Sprints for $2,000 to win. Should be a great show if we can keep the rain away!!!
