Welcome to Don Martin's lernerville speedway brought to you by Thompsons scrap metal and WORLD RACING GROUP. Did they only buy a share ?

A the great crate debate: the late model guys put on 1 hell of a show. Enough of the Cory crap. The kid can wheel a car. You can't make mistakes in a crate car, yes he made 2 or 3, but he came right back really strong.

The big block mods. Ever wonder why they call them that ? Small blocks are lighter, make as much h.p. the 6 car had it in the bag, at least till the white flag anyhow, now that showed the meaning it ain't over till the checkered flag falls. Another good race.

The e-mods, aside from those 2 brothers up front, the pack racing was good. Another class of car that I just sat there and said. WHY ?

The RUSH mods, Somebody lock me in a freshly painted room so I can watch the paint dry. BORING. Everyone of them 3/4 down the straight away where bouncing off the Rev limiters. The Schaffer s automotive guy must be related, I think there was 4 cars sponsored the same. Good for him.

The sportsman guy's. 2 dam good heat race's. But, sorry guys, you just have to take your position as always. Dam good feature, but last as always, ZERO respect from management.

I've got the answer for the sportsman guy's that are getting this crate crap jammed down there throats. SELL YOUR MOTOR'S TO THE RUSH MODIFIED GUYS AND THEY CAN GO TO MERCER AND RUN IN THE 358 CLASS.

Hey Vicki, why not bring back the 6 cylinder mods, anything would have been better. Now what color paint to watch dry ? Hummm.

Sorry, but the best racing I ever saw was non-winged sprints on a fast tacky track with a 6 inch cushion in the corners. To bad you never get to see a cushion in this area of racing. Anytime one starts to form, the track crews use it for grader practice or the tracks are so dry from the start, there is never a chance for one to form.

They're called big block mods, because, uh, they're big block modifieds. Small blocks are lighter, but do not make the same power. They also require freshening more often. Also, in SDS races, I don't know if Lernerville does the same, small block powered cars actually have to weigh more than big block powered cars,

Back in early 90's they ran small blocks in a big block mod . Small blocks started kickin ass . Big block purists cried foul . No more small blocks

The small blocks that were all the rage in the early 90's weren't 358's though. They were the so called big small blocks. meaning mostly 430s. The reason they were outlawed wasn't so much big block purists, it was that compared to traditional big blocks and traditional small blocks, they were obscenely expensive and, at the time, pretty unreliable. That's why Glenn Donnelly outlawed them.

See if anyone remembers when ? Barefoot Bob McGrady showed up at lernerville on a Friday night many many years ago. He showed up with the oddest sounding powerplant on the speedway. Well Ole barefoot Bob dusted everyone, he started deep in the field, and that weird sounding motor. A 358 w mufflers.

Barefoot Bob McGrady?! You're obviously an expert on the whole situation. Why aren't you making the rules?

It has nothing to do with big block purists. The motors you're talking about are a 25,000 dollar piece (that might even be low) that needs rebuilt every 800-1000 laps, but most likely blows up due to part failure well before that. A hitting big block is a little more expensive, but is much more reliable and you can usually get 1500 or more laps before a rebuild. Unless you are running experimental stuff and turning it 9000 on a regular basis, then your shits probably gonna blow up.

If I had a dollar for every time Garrett Krummert has jumped the cushion in 1 & 2... (both LM and Mod)

The Rush Crates were clearly the best feature of night, followed by the Stocks.  That McPherson kid is a wheelman.

Rush Mods... they were in no RUSH, that's for sure.  Holy crap, announcing every driver?  There clearly is a wide gap in experience skill level from the top to bottom of that field.  Wider than any other division I've seen. Their whole program took way too long, and what was the point of the Dash?  Just seemed a little crazy to me.  How bout speeding up the show next time, please?

When you have won as many races as Garrett you can question him jumping the cushion.
It looks a lot easier from the bleachers!

As far as speeding up the show, is 10:30 past your bed time! Cut me and the track a brake.
