Returning to TriCity last night was a great experience I have been around that and many more local tracks for over 70 years either with my Mom& Dad or later with my friends I am not an expert but do feel i have a pretty good handle on local racing with that said I will only say what I said to Mark last night when he ask me a very simple question my answer was you hit a home run now just build on this.

There is always going to be some crucial elements to success and in my opinion they have the facility has been restored to a new level the employees are dressed in smiles ,the fans are real ,the racers are top notch, Walt Wimer is there and with a few little finishing touches and the positive attitude that I experienced last night even growing bigger as time goes on it has the potential of being a major player in local racing.

I will continue to pray for them as they continue to keep local racing alive and well.

God bless and thank you

I haven't been around quite as long as you, but as you and I talked last night, I totally agree 100% that it was the best thing that I have seen in years. To finally have racing at this facility again

was worth the wait. I don't think I had ever seen such a crowd there as last night. The new owners are definitely on the right track, as long as they stay with Sundays. You and I both know that

there are not enough local racers to support another Saturday night venue. As I supported my friends Mike and Roger during their tenure, I hope to spend many more nights at this facility. I wish

the new ownership all the best.

I really think what happens with Stateline in 1
2016, will dictate which night tri-city runs. What I'd like to see, if they stay with Sundays, is maybe have a few Saturday specials with the Lates. Or if Eriez goes to Saturday, then it's going to get interesting. I've been to almost every race there since 96(exception from 06-08 while the navy had me) and I don't ever remember that place being that full. Maybe the first labor day classic there, but that's it. Few tweaks throughout and they got it.

Last night was truly heartwarming, I have NEVER seen that place so packed. Lernerville, for a big show, yes, PPMS, for the old-time Pittsburgher, yes, as was said a few tweaks, some groundskeeping, and Tri-City will be back, and endangers the other tracks lack of comprehension, of what fans, AND competitors want! Kudos, to the staff and management, I truly felt welcomed! Some small inconsistencies, but no real glaring mistakes. A Very Good night, I was sorry I had to leave, with the show unfinished, but with a 2 hour drive home, I couldn't. All in all, still a very enjoyable night! Lernerville, PPMS, Mercer... PAY ATTENTION!

Was a great night. It felt really good to see the number of fans. They have put so much work in and I know personally as the race director for the kart track their hearts have been broken with the cancellations due to weather on the big track. Was really heartwarming as stated above to see such a great turnout. I was engaged at Tri City Speedway. Had my sons Memorial service in the infield at the kart track. And last night my youngest enjoyed the big car races for the first time.  She is only 2 3/4.Thank you to the Tatolovic's for putting the effort into opening Tri City again and making more memories for my family.

Here's a twitter photo just to show the size of the crowd.

And that is only the right side of the crowd. There was just as many packed on my left side. Barely had any wiggle room. Didnt stand a chance catching those T-shirts.

It brought goosebumps as I was walking up to the ticket booth to see my childhood racetrack roar back to life! Everyone in the grandstands had a cheerful spirit and friendly demeanor throughout the night. The food lines were long as the staff was trying to keep up with the demand for fans and many menu items were sold out. The staff was very friendly and caring, even going out of their way to get me items that weren't under the heat lamps. The food and ticket prices are on par with any other track in the region and maybe even a tad cheaper too. It was a nice gesture to receive a Tri-City Raceway Park can coozie as I walked through the gates. The crew did a nice job repainting exposed surfaces and the orange on the guard rail is sure to become a signature backdrop for the track. They really spruced the place up even staining some of the grandstands as well and painting the hand railings. The racing surface stayed together decently through the night and they weren't afraid to add water during the heats to keep the dust down. Even though hot laps didn't start until after 6, because track prep took longer than expected, the racing was very good. With more races comes more experience from the track prep crew and I know they won't disappoint. Overall, I give them an A rating for a job well done!
