For everyone hanging around the local tracks and maybe no paying attention to the national Late Model scene, Davenport won the North/South Saturday night putting another Crown Jewel in is pocket this year.  Just to understand the year he is having, Just in the races he has won this year, he has won $358,000!!!! $100,000 the past two Saturday's. With several Crown Jewel races coming up, with the exception of Donnie Moran winning the $1 Million at Eldora in 2001, JD has a chance to have possibly the best year ever in a Late Model.

This years "American Pharoah" of Late Model racing!!! All you that may want to venture away from your local track for an evening, you will have the chance to see him in action at the Pittsburgher later this month.

I am not promoting the Pittsburgher, or affiliated with the track, but I got back today from the North/South and it was impressive to watch him be so dominate!

I wouldn't say he dominated. Bloomer stayed with him the whole race. There's no saying how much Superman was holding back though. It's an impressive run for sure. The last time he was at Pittsburgh he finished 3rd, Francis won. The Pittsburgher will be interesting.

PPMS wakes up early. After packing them in like sardines for the greatest race on mother earth. They have decided they could not have made any more $$$ and are closing the gates for the remainder of the year. They forget to drain the water from the water truck, remember there counting there loot, it splits wide open on a cold winters night. Management decides day racing for 2016. Drivers love ut. Dry slick surface, not breaking any equipment, track gets new name from monster half mile to pdb, Pittsburgh dust bowl, FIA shuts the place down because pilots can't see the airport. After there biggest, greatest race, place goes down because promotors are still trying to figure out what they did wrong. LOL. Is this what happens when I retire? or do I sound like a possible promoter. Naaa. as some one said. Have fun with this one.
