This race has been on the schedule since March or April. I picked up a copy at the mall car show in Altoona before the season.

Nope he really is trying complete against another track. He looked at the race they are having and matched the division and put a little more money on. He ran Friday night all year long now he is going to switch to Saturday which would be fine in mid September but not August. There is no reason to complete with other tracks why not work with them. This is why car counts are going down! You're joking, right?

No this race had not been on the schedule he canceled his original race and instead of moving it to Friday he switched divisions and pay to complete against another track that had ran Saturday's trough August as long as I can remember. This race has been on the schedule since March or April. I picked up a copy at the mall car show in Altoona before the season.

I think they are saying that Dog Hollow is trying to compete against Marioncenter. But if memory serves me correctly....Dog had the Floyd Line race scheduled since last winter when they put thier schedule out! I think It was Marion that added another race for the 29th! I think they originally had TBA on thier schedule for the 29th. Thier last night was the 22nd! So if anything...its Marion that scheduled against Dog Hollow! Lets face the facts....

Express Man is right! Dog Hollow had the Floyd Kline Memorial scheduled that night since their schedule came out. Marion Center made the hack move of scheduling this weird race a few weeks ago. Dog Hollow just changed their event details after that. Quite frankly, the race at Marion Center has a variable purse based on car count, and Dog Hollow's is guaranteed. Dog Hollow seems like the better choice!

Dog Hollow had the the Floyd Kline memorial scheduled on that date. Marion Center added a race to their schedule and Dog Hollow according to their Facebook changed the date of the memorial race to some time in September. But, they did not ditch the whole night. Dog Hollow was switching to Saturday nights since Marion Center was supposed to be done. Point is, tracks so close together that draw some of the same cars AND fans need to be a little smarter on working together. No one to blame but each other. Really a toss up on where to run that night. If you want to run on rocks go to Marion Center. If you want to take a chance to get screwed by Dog Hollow's clown officials, that's your bet.

No its not the same you are comparing fast food to racing there is a big difference. Everybody is always saying how car counts are so low and this is one of the reasons I feel. Tracks should work together like Marion center and dog hollow did years ago. Car counts were better and I know it was a different time but I still believe it would help car counts. I just felt like dog hollow should of waited until September to switch to Saturdays. Marion center has had the same schedule format for the last couple of years they run until the first week of September. imo I think the tracks should work together instead of going to war. sorry for any confusion.

This is a joke. Sounds like you are definitely a socialist. So freaking what if someone schedules the same day?!? Don't people in this country have a choice where they want to go watch/race? Maybe the better track will draw the better cars. No one is forced to do anything, and Im willing to bet you have a direct interest with the "other local track," otherwise you wouldn't waste your time complaining.
In this country, when 1 business has a special, the others don't sit by and wait their turn like in your socialist ideal...they compete likewise.
Let me guess....you also would complain saying that 2nd place on the track shouldn't make a move for first because the driver in the lead already planned to win?

It's an unfortunate, situation two tracks in close proximity racing on the same night but that's life. There are very few fans or participants that would attend or participate in two events in the same weekend any way. Any at that not enough to make a difference for the tracks anyhow. Let the tracks compete just like the racers and may the best track win. It makes no sense to personally bash a track employee for making a schedule decision, and to assume you know why a decision was made. I'm sure there are many things that go into such a decision that we will never no about. Just be happy that track is open. God Bless America

Can you please tell me what dog hollow cars planned to buy 1425 ribs and Lucas 04-06 right rears , buy a head and neck restraint if they don't have one , pay 115 for a 3 day pit pass , 50 to camp , most likely a 125 Lucas entry fee since it's more than 10k to win all to come race at a track where they will be lapped by the 10 regulars most of who will get lapped themselves by the Lucas guys ??? What cars planned to do that ??? I'm not saying all of the Pittsburgh cars would go beat the dog hollow guys at dog hollow but Pittsburgh is a different world in super lates if you don't race there . As far as crates it seems to me it's a my better deal for them to race dog hollow that night and not be stuck with the pit passes . Or are you speaking of a different track racing the 29 ??
I doubt PPMS is even part of this discussion. As you stated nobody who runs MC or Dog Hollow would be able to make the feature anyway and would probably get lapped in the heat races. Might hurt the crowds a bit running against the Pittsburgher though.

Marion Center seems to have went downhill rapidly in the last 3-4 years since the daughters/son in laws whatever you want to call them took completely over.
