Drove over to Jennerstown last night and was shocked to almost not get a parking spot and see huge crowd bigger than they used to get in the early 90's pavement glory days. 50/50 was close to 3000 and they were saying 7000 people there. Car count improving but not good, 19 super cup cars added to to show the regular classes had 10 Late Models, 7 Mods, 12 Street Stocks, 7 Chargers and 18 4 cyl. Racing definitely better than most asphalt Tracks, but still not my cup of tea. With the success there and at TrI City tracks should just close down and then re-open to pack people in.

Remember when it was the early seventies and it was dirt and those beautiful sprint cars were there driven by all your favorite drivers plus others you had heard about and you had to pinch yourself to make sure you were still alive. And now you're in your early seventies and you realize just how good you had it. Hard to put into words.

Wow- that's a lot of people. I looked at the roster of Super Cup drivers and never heard of a single one. Their website claims it's "racing like it used to be". If that were the case, they would be competing against the locals, like back in the days of the Pittsburgher, Steel Valley 500, and others. The special event Motordrome had the week before also excluded locals. Too many rules, too much regulation, like everything else these days. Nothing outside of the ISMA supers would get me there, although I have to admit the 4 cylinders do put on a good show. I wish them luck, as it's nice to see the place has remained open.

I would guess then that you are the sacred Oracle and clearing house for all info pertaining to racing. Oh tell us great one....how long do you have to hang on the fence watching and how many laps do you have to turn on your keyboard to become so wise ?
