It is not closed as in closed for good.  They are just done for the season.  They only scheduled up to mid August because in the past they cannot compete with Friday night football.

It is that time of year!!  Raceway 7 is done after Friday and Saturday is Mercer's last race except for the "Little Guy Nationals"    Unfortunately, Winter is coming!!

Would be better if it actually stayed closed till they could find someone to actually run it...dropping the super lates and imca mods was just silly...numerous cancelled shows just because they couldn't the track ready in time...fighting with fans who asked why they cancel shows for no good reason on Facebook...was a joke of a season this year

my thinking on llm and slm  make a minimum weight reasonable like 2300 and a front end weight that is equal to the steel block cars. if the super guys want to run for less money so be it , and the limited guys at most tracks have an aluminum top end anyway. I have never seen an aluminum block being an advantage when the front end weighs the same as a steel block.  racing for heroes would have had 20 cars instead of 6-8 limited thus more back gate money to pay the purse. giving up 12- 16 supers to have 6-8 limited cars is just stupid.

Well the limited late car count this year was basically identical to the super late car count of last year, 12 to 15 each week. The issue is some of the other classes which were getting 6 and 8 cars. While I agree that there are problems to be addressed at the track, the decision to drop supers is one I support. The limited class at Clinton is affordable, not only for the track but for the racers as well. I would also state that I am thankful for their efforts and hope that they continue to make efforts to improve the track for next year.
