The 2015 FASTRAK Mid-Ohio Valley season is rapidly coming to a close as each of the weekly sanctioned speedways are starting to wrap up racing action for the season and FASTRAK MOV competitors are preparing for the 12th Annual World Championships that will be held at the Virginia Motor Speedway (Jamaica, VA) on September 18th and 19th.
     
Billy Beachler scored his second victory of the season at the Elkins Raceway on Friday, August 14th.  The victory was the second in three weeks for Beachler in the Cecil B. Arthur General Contracting/Penske Racing Shocks sponsored #21.  Daniel Hill, Garret Paugh, Derrick Shaw and Chad Green completed the top five.   
 
Racing action at the Elkins Raceway on Friday, August 21st found Daniel Hill scoring his fourth victory of the season at the Kerens, WV oval.  Hill's regular ride has been plagued by a miss in the motor that he has been unable to find so he welcomed the opportunity to drive the Jerry Haseleu owned #RJ1  Friday evening to maintain his lead in the FASTRAK's National Weekly points chase.  Hill led the entire distance of the 20 lap main event and also weathered three cautions on laps 13, 15 and 17 to score the win.  Kris Southern, Derrick Shaw, Billy Beachler and Tyler Stutler rounded out the top five.
 
Hill's victory also helped him clinch the Elkins Raceway Budwesier FASTRAK Late Model point's title over teenager Tyler Stutler.  Chad Green, Garret Paugh and Kris Southern claimed points positions three through five with Jamie McCloud, Troy Frazier, Derrick Shaw, Greg Hicks and Trey Watson completing the top ten.
 
Elkins Raceway will hold their final event of the 2015 season this Saturday, August 29th.  The FASTRAK Late Models will battle for a $1,000.00 first place prize.  The Super Late Models, Modifieds and Street Stocks will also be in action.  For additional information please visit the speedway website, www.elkinsraceway.net.    
 
The FASTRAK Mid-Ohio Valley Touring Series visited Tyler County Speedway on Saturday, August 15th for the 14th Annual Eaton/Childers "King of the Ring" Twin 20's.  Henry Hornsby scored the win in the first main event with Aaron Barley, Ryan Montgomery, Kyle Lukon and Ryan Payne rounding out the top five.  Billy Beachler was the victor in the second feature with Montgomery, Kyle Thomas, Joel Prosser and Hornsby completing the top five.

14th Annual Eaton/ Childers King of the Ring FASTRAK Feature #2:  Billy Beachler, Ryan Montgomery, Kyle Thomas, Joel Prosser, Henry Hornsby, Kyle Lukon, A.J. Spagnoula, Chuck Kimball, Dusty Hamrick, Danny Thomas, Kris Southern, Troy Frazier, Daniel Hill, Ryan Payne, Aaron Barley, Todd Chicklo, Kenny Rucker. 
 
The stars of FASTRAK Mid-Ohio Valley were also in action at the Tyler County Speedway (Middlebourne, WV) on Saturday, August 22nd.  Third generation driver Daniel Hill scored his second victory in as many days in his substitute ride, he Jerry Haseleu owned Jack's Recycling/Bland's Towing sponsored Rocket Chassis.  Kyle Thomas, Danny Thomas, Jamie McCloud and A.J. Spagnoula rounded out the top five.  The win also secured Hill's claim on the 2015 FASTRAK Pro-Late Model Divisional Championship at the speedway.
 
The Tyler County Speedway will take a few weeks off before their season finale on Saturday, September 19th.  The 27th Annual Earl Hill Memorial, the speedway's longest running event will feature all of the weekly divisions in action along with an unsanctioned Super Late Model main event that pays $10,000.00 to Win.  A Kids Candy Rush will also be held.  For additional information you can stop by the speedway's website,www.tylercountyspeedwayonline.com.
 
The Labor Day weekend will find the FASTRAK Mid-Ohio Valley Tour in action on Saturday, September 5th at the I-77 Raceway Park (Ripley, WV).  The $5000.00 to win Moon Shine 50 is part of the Hillbilly 100 weekend that features the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series in action.  On Sunday September 6th, FASTRAK competitors will travel to Wythe Raceway (Rural Retreat, VA) for the 12th Annual Pro Late Model Nationals for $3000 to win.  The holiday weekend racing action will conclude at the Travelers Rest Speedway (Travelers Rest, SC) on Monday, September 7th with a $2,000.00 show.
 
Don't forget that the 12th Annual FASTRAK World Championships are less than a month away.  The two day event will once again return to Bill Sawyer's Virginia Motor Speedway for some great action packed racing.  Friday evening the stars of both FASTRAK Southeast and FASTAK Mid-Ohio Valley will qualify and battle in a $5,000.00 to win main event.  Saturday evening's action will include another complete FASTRAK Program that will culminate in the nation's top Pro-Late Model competitors battling for $15,000.00 to win in a 60 lap main event.  It's a weekend that you will definitely not want to miss.  Additional information may be obtained at www.vamotorspeedway.com.
