Sarver, PA (August 28, 2015) A full moon cast a spell on another beautiful night of Fab Four Racing Fueled By Turner’s Premium Iced Teas Championship Night.  The closest race was in the Peoples TWP DIRTcar Sprints.  AJ Flick held just a 10 point lead coming into the night, but rode a sixth place finish to become the first third-generation star in the almost 40 years of the speedway to win a coveted Track Championship.  West coast rising star Tanner Thorson, just 19 years old, (and on his first visit to the track), took the lead from two-time feature winner Dan Kuriger during an early restart and proceeded to runaway to the checkered flag.  Mike Norris dominated the Precise Late Model feature for his second win of the season; recall that Alex Ferree clinched his third straight division crown last Friday and elected to run the Pittsburgher qualifier at PPMS tonight.

Mat Williamson won his sixth feature of the season and celebrated winning the Diehl Modified Championship.  Williamson  also cashed in on an extra $1,000 courtesy of Turner’s Premium Iced Teas and the Fueled by Turner’s Leaderboard Bonus.  Mike Miller ran down and passed Corey McPherson to score his first win since 2013.  McPherson had clinched his third championship in four years during heat race competition. Finally, as tradition dictates, we ended the night by celebrating the season in the pits with our racing family at the annual corn roast, which expanded into a pig roast courtesy of Tim Thoma of the Thoma Meat Market.

Sleep deprivation!  Where were you when I needed a proofreader at midnight last night?!

Thanks for the catch, fixed on both sites.
