Maybe they should look at repaying the over 7.5 million that the taxpayers have paid each year to put them in a new arena.   The state (we ) are on the hook for 30 years on that one, and even the 7.5M per year is not covering it.   The farce is that a private business can use forced taxpayer money to build a new arena, to sell the team...for a profit.  Big business is definetly not playing by the rules they force us, smaller businesses to play by.

Ramsey I absolutely think they should be on their own to build the arena but I also don't think we should
Tax the living fuk out of them like we do ... So I'm not sure that it doesn't even out in the end ...

The sad thing is that if sold, there could be a chance of relocation....just like they threatened to do before building the new arena...Kansas City was it?

How quickly we forget ! The Penguins offered to build their own arena and develop the area if they were awarded the gambling license that was awarded to a bankrupt mobster from Chicago ! the bankrupt mobster from Chicago didn't pay and stopped construction of the casino for not paying and then the Corrupt bankrupt Gambling commission turned the Casino over to another Chicago thug without any more consideration to the penguins offer!

Again the Democrats that gave the Casino to a mob from Chicago are now hoping to muscle in on free busness!!

The Penguins pay their lease that was agreed apon !

Now Ramsey .. If you want to talk about the " Richest Franchise on the Planet " and how a voting referendum asked if voters wanted tax money to build a new Stadium .. Well the voters said absolutely no! so the Sate said FU we will build 2 stadiums and Dan rooney on Monday night football begging for taxpayer money ! You hit the nail on the head!

Not 1 penny of principle was ever paid on 3 rivers stadium and now they have added two more stadiums to the Mortgage!

The rubble of 3rivers stadium has a 1 billion $$$$$ mortgage on it !
