He drove a great race and lead a good deal of it. Hard to say if his tires went away or if Scrub just got better as the race wore on, but Eckert and Clanton both have many years of experience in those extra distance races. Eckert was lights out through one and two, for sure. I'm damn proud of Jared, he drove a fine race. If he was going to get beat, he lost to one of the nicer guys in the sport, in my opinion.

Watching Norris hold off Moyer Jr in the B main was worth the money too.

That third place is one heck of an accomplishment and led 64 laps or so .. Way to go!

Awesome job by Jared! A couple of the crew were bummed because they didn't win, but a podium finish against Lucas or WoO is nothing to hang your head about. It's a great time to get some momentum going for the big end of the year races!

Coming from  guy who says the firecracker is over priced and racing is horrible compared to his beloved dust bowl.

Well since you again decided to be a troll Bhhracing I'll bite. While the Firecracker was a decent race missing a lot of heavy hitters the Pittsburgher absolutely destroyed it and was one of the best races of the season. So don't cry too much over that as you munch on your action track snack bud.

And for the record- I thought the track was in great shape. They didn't piss around with lineups and track prep. Racing was good. The Firecracker itself was decent except for the 7-8 straight cautions around the 30 lap mark. Not sure why every track or race has to be an "us versus them" review. But troll on brother.

That was Moyer Sr., and if you were watching Moyer was not racing him. He was easily in a transfer spot and tried every groove on the track the last 10 laps. He was gathering info for the feature. Plus Norris was wild at the start of that B-main, but not near as wild at the Lake kid!

I gave a standing ovation to Jared and their crew for putting a great show!!!!!

I don't know Fwig I was sitting way down in 1 and Moyer was running it in hard and heavy in the same line as 72 and not catching him. I think with a lap or two to go he finally dropped down to the lower groove coming out and it didn't matter. Lake ran his balls off in his B main as well. Good for him. Lastly congrats to Jared I really thought he was going to make some history last night. Great job.

Little Mikey Lake hit everything at Lernerville except the 50/50..  Seemed a little out of control??? Not at all like him!!

Give the 72 a lot of credit, but I agree, Moyer was just feeling out the track...

They were disappointed because you can go
To 50 more races like that and not be in a position to win like they were . That's a very impressive run for a local team

Good run for miley. Would be a different story if the best in the country (Lucas oil guys) would have been there! It's a shame that pennsylvanias biggest race of the year, and the biggest names in the game have other obligations.

The weather determined who was coming back for the race, The Lucas schedule was not open as it was earlier. But, there was not a strong lucas presence On it's original date. I was surprised that they did not come up with a date that The Lucas guys had open.

I posted before and no one really had an answer but there's been a recent trend of Lucas guys not running many WoO shows even when there's no Lucas race scheduled and vice versa, except for the big big events.

Case in point, the Pittsburgher paid 20k and ran unopposed. Josh Richards was the only WoO guy to show. No, Chub or Eckert even though it would've been a fairly easy tow.

I've been unable to find any explanation why this has been happening, but it sucks.

I think a big reason the national series' teams tend to not run events in the other series is time. Once the season heats up, there are very few chances to take an off weekend and refresh the equipment before the next swing or do things with family.

The late model guys run a lot of 2 and 3 day shows. I agree that I think they prefer to go back to there shops and spend time restocking and families. I've also wondered, if they go run another series does there show money get cut ?
