Here is an update on my Cavalcade points including races through Sept. 6. Sorry it is a bit late but was out of town on vacation the first week of September and had some catching up to do!!
SPRINTS.........All over here as with only two races left the circuit regulars have no chance of catching Blaney!!
1. 1 Dale Blaney 51 (4)
2. 89 Cody Darrah 33 (1)
3. 13 Brandon Matus 26 (2)
4. 10 Carl Bowser 24 (5)
5. 2 A. J. Flick 22 (2)
LATE MODELS...................Great battle here between defending winner Jared Miley and Max Blair. The pair should face off in a classic duel at Eriez for a double header Sept. 25-26 and then maybe again
at McKean County in October before the Stampede at Lernerville. May the best man win!!!
1. H1 Jared Miley 82 (6)
2. 111 Max Blair 74 (12)
3. 95 Garry Wiltrout 52 (13)
4. w11 Robbie Blair 43 (7)
5. 10 Alex Ferree 41 (6)
MODIFIEDS............................Family battle for the second straight year!! Rex King, Jr. leads dad by 5 points, but tonight the lead could change or "Cooter" clinch a second Cavalcade honor after the Russ
King Memorial at Sharon.
1. 165 Rex King, Jr. 58 (9)
2 65 Rex King 53 (3)
3. 6 Matt Williamson 33 (6)
4. 21R Erick Rudolph 22 92)
5. 83 Brian Swartzlander 18 (4)
LIMITED LATE MODELS.................................Max Blair is in the driver's seat here, but Joe Martin isn't out of it yet!!
1. 111 Max Blair 72 (11)
2. 55 Joe Martin 58 (12)
3. 0 Ryan Scott 46 (10)
4. 2 Andrew Satterlee 42 (6)
5 4s Randy Hall 41 (6)
LIMITED MODIFIEDS......................................Another great battle here between defending winner Joel Watson and David Scott, who has come on like gangbusters since taking over the Tim Engles #68
car in July. I figure there are five double-triple point races yet to go that BOTH these drivers should run. A real face off here!!
1. 68 David Scott 66 (9)
2. 92 Joel Watson 55 (10)
3. 4 Greg Martin 46 (11)
4. RD1 Brent Rhebergen 41 (5)
5. 17x Rich Michael, Jr. 39 (4)
LIMITED SPRINTS..................................George Hobaugh, Jr. has been leading all season, but Cody Bova has narrowed his lead to 12 points in recent weeks. With tomorrow at Tri-City and two races at
Mercer for the Little Guy Nationals, all for extra points, Bova could really make a race of it.
1. 58 Georg Hobaugh, Jr. 53 (10)
2. 20 Cody Bova 41 (5)
3. 4j Jacob Gomola 23 (4)
4. 12 Daren Gallagher 21 (3)
5. 66m Mark Rossey 12 (1)
STOCK CARS........................................This one is wide open!! Last year's winner Nate Smith and Ray Hickock, Jr. are tied for the lead, but with only 6 points between first and fifth. Chris Schneider is
only fifth but we all know how good he is in those $1,000 to win triple point races!! The likes of Chris Withers, Greg Moore and Tim Bish are all just a few more
points back and not out of it with all the big races at Sharon, Tri-City, Mercer and Lernerville.
1. 28N Nate Smith 45 (9)
48 Ray Hickock, Jr. 45 97)
3. 31 Anthony Aiello 43 (9)
4. 00 Scott Aiello 42 (7)
5. 55 Chris Schenider 39 (2)
Points go through the end of the season at the Steel City Stampede at Lernerville on late October. I will try to do weekly updates of any lead changes through the end.
GOOD RACING TO ALL!!
