Sale of Stateline Speedway finalized

Stateline Motorsports Park, Inc. is officially the new owner of Stateline Speedway.

Former longtime racers Brian Horner and Jim Scott and Scott's wife, Jean, who had been operating under a lease deal they reached with Seamens Speedway Inc., in August, finalized the purchase agreement for the Busti, N.Y., dirt track.

Stateline ends its abbreviated season Friday, September 18th,  with an event featuring a $3,000-to-win Super Late Model race and $1,000 top prize for the RUSH Crate Late Models.

The go-kart season ends Saturday.

Then track officials will begin plans to lay a new clay surface.

David Scott won the last SLM race there, 2 weeks ago, in Chris Peterson's #25 Longhorn that he got from Chad Valone I believe...  Wasn't racing last night, and luckily, most likely.....  Track pretty "unfriendly" for race cars & drivers, a few hot tempers, etc....   They'll get it straightened out with new clay, etc. for 2016...

I've been up there a few time and never Have I seen it that bad. I was disappointed...terrible racing because there was no high line because it had holes that were like watching the off-road trucks. The cars would come completely off the ground. An OK job fixing it during intermission. But take the time to do it right and the fans will stay for good racing. A little constructive criticism state line....better prep the track a little better. Other than the track...GET....THE CARS ..OFF....THE TRACK!!! To many long yellow flags. Hook them up and get them off. Don't waist time. I was embarrassed for you cause I have talked this track up for years...finally convince a couple of my buddies to come and watch the races at Stateline. And I was embarrassed on how bad the show was. There was some good racing that could have been great racing if the track was conducive. This NEEDS to be rectified.
