Does anyone know....

Is Tri City going to run weekly next year / what night?

Or sticking with a 2 a month / specials format?

As of now, a specials format similar to what you saw this year

Right now that is the plan!!  And I think it is a good one as way too many weekly tracks are struggling right now for both cars and fans.

This isn't meant to bash and I understand they are going through some growing pains- but:

1) Please start on time.  Heats started nearly an hour late.

2) Have more than a flatbed and a regular tow truck at these shows.  The amount of time it took to hook up wrecked cars, especially if more than one car, was ridiculous.

3) More run in vehicles helping the water truck.  After they watered for Pro Stock feature, they didn't get it run in enough and someone hit the water and shot right into the water barrels on the pace lap.  After that, they had the cars run a good 10 laps or so to run it in more.  For a 50 lap race, that seemed like a waste of time and fuel.

4) Talked to a few guys last night who sat in line for 45 minutes once they got to the pits.  More workers or better system to sell wrist bands, I don't know.

5) Maybe less divisions would help.  Enjoyed emods and econo mods, but wouldn't one be enough for a big show?

6) Left after one feature last night at 9:20 PM due to a two hour drive home on a Sunday.  Features wrapped up at midnight I read.  For a show that was supposed to start at 4, that's a late night.

Positives:

Good racing once the track widened up some.  Too many cautions early but once cars got strung out it was entertaining.

Announcer was good, cracked me up at some points actually.

Friendly staff, workers and concession stands. Food was good and reasonably priced.

Plenty of parking and only $15 to get in.

Track was slick and took rubber but very little dust, kept working on it all night.

Safety crews were quick to respond and instantly at the two cars that rolled.

Overall entertaining night, but could be really nice once the bugs are worked out.

Vince this track could be the home of the 2017 Laboon race.  What do you think?

Out of respect to the Mileys, local sponsors and what we've all done together since 2012, I don't want to speculate or insinuate I am looking to move the race.  But I was thinking (like I always do) about the format, what 50 laps would do to these cars, what it would be like to have those 37 cars plus another 10-15 from PPMS and some more Penn Ohio guys,  Hopefully that is not a decision I have to make because something happened to PPMS, but the support is definitely there! I enjoyed my time at Tri City.

Vince, i said it before you did a great job. But, the way things are going keep your options open to other tracks. No matter where the race is you will have a lot of support. One of the best races in the area.

I was very impressed with the race at TRI CITY last night and thought that with only a handful of events behind them they had a good show, we need to remember they had an overflow of cars and more classes than most tracks have and yes they started a little late but kept the show going very well, one of my concerns for any event is having enough safety people on the job. I observed two ambulances and a good fire crew, the wrecker crew did a good job and took enough time to not cause more damage all in all a job well done.

Mark Tatalovic owner and Chad Wagner were two of the most courteous men on the grounds and were hands on for every need all night and have thanked me for coming and ask what they could do for me, this is an attribute many owners/ Promoters could take a lesson from them.

Walt Wimer does a fantastic job on the mike his knowledge of racing show well and thankfully lacks makes folks happy, will I go back again the answer is YES and I really look forward to the next visit to Tri City.

Nice pay outs. Nice car counts. I agree totally with the bi-weekly schedule. Unless it can be proven, in today's struggles for tracks to have a constant weekly turn out they are running on tight budgets. Why take the chance.

It was great to see that many cars at Tri-City after it sat closed.   They have a few bugs to work out, but track is headed in the right direction.   I'm glad there is some Sunday night racing again in the area.
