Well this is 2 cars on fire in one week with NO fire crews on the property, yet drivers still continue to race there! This track needs to wake up before someone gets killed there!

Thank god Mike was able to get out tonight. This is from his Girl Friend.

Thankfully Mike was able to get out of his car fast when it caught fire! I pray to god that nobody ever gets In a serious wreck/fire at this track because someone is going to get seriously hurt !!! Both EMS people from Mclay EMS were sound asleep in the ambulance. Thank you to whoever brought out fire extinguishers because the track has no safety crew!

WHAT THE HELL, are they BRAIN DEAD. I thought that all tracks where required to have fire crews and EMS as per insurance regulations. Please correct me if im wrong. Thank God no one was hurt in both fires. Man this is a law suit just waiting to happen. Be safe out there drivers.

Somebody better check and see if there even carrying any insurance. You would think that after the first incident something would have changed.

Dumb, Dumber, and Dumb stick management. Wake up racers.

I do not know what they are going to do moving forward for fire protection. The local fire departments do not support rick jones because rick jones does not support them. He will not even let the fire department sell 50/50 tickets. That is all it would take and they would have been there every week. Like they have always supported the track for years before jones took over. Actually 4 fire departments would take turns making their own schedule. After the fire department stopped coming if I remember correctly Kurt made his own fire protection cart with his own money and would support the track every week until guess what jones pissed him off. Jones will not go down until a driver gets killed or racers and fans stop supporting him. Sad that drivers lives do not matter to this track promoter. There is nothing more important then safety for our sport.

The thing is if you look at the regular shows they pretty much are not supporting him. It's only the big shows people even go to.

Still not worth drivers lives for big shows! 5k is worth someone's life. It's a joke drivers and family are putting out fires. That is someone's loved one in that car. People need to get him to close his gates and let someone run it that takes pride in racing and safety of the drivers. The show starts with the drivers and fans not rick jones! If anyone does not agree with this they are as crazy as he is. 4th track down the tubes!

What a total disregard for safety! If anyone wants to see what 3rd degree burn scars look like, my son will show you. He had to learn the hard way at a different track that does not have a fire crew on site either.

If his title is PR for the track why would he need the owners permission to give out results ? Maybe this particular raceway doesn't like to let ANYONE no they are open. Do they pay in cash also ? Not a good situation any way you look at it.

Ask Charlie Holben and the Matuses how effective the in-car extinguishers are with a fuel fire and a driver on his head.  Lernerville added fire fighting quads after that, because it took the big ole tacker truck too long to get straight across the front stretch and run and charge the hoses, so now they both instant response and the big truck.

My dad drove late models in the early 70's at North Hills, Butler, Mercer, Blanket Hill, and occasionally Tri City. We won the last late model track championship at Blanket Hill.
