Point being they deserve more respect than what they get it.

If you don't like the smell or sound of 2 strokes then you probably fly the rainbow flag proudly.

Did your grandpas cousins brothers uncle buy Hickory and let you promote it yet?

Hot Dog dont you work at the track?  What a shame it is that you feel that way about any racing class.  Like the other guys said, time will tell on how they do and who likes them.  Hopefully they are not all small minded like yourself.  Not an argument, not an opinion, but a fact. Heaven forbid someone else come into your club of the most awesome race cars in the whole wide world

LMAO

I'm actually pretty open minded and enjoy most forms of dirt track racing. The only class I can't stand is the dork cars. I don't mind the micros so much and I tolerate the mini stocks even though they seem to attract more dirtbags than other divisions. I have no problem with the jr sprints on a surface that's fitting for a division with 9hp motors, not a 3/8 mile. I just happen to think the mini divisions belong on mini tracks, not ones meant for full size cars.

If you are at Mercer tonight, I'll be interested to hear your opinion tomorrow.  Not for any other reason than curiosity.  Not sure if you race, if you do then good luck.  No hard feelings on this topic just a good open debate.  Let me know tomorrow what you thought of them if you are there

My brother-inlaw is overseas fighting, and all you guys want to do is bitch and complain about everything. I'm sure he ( and others ) would love to watch any type of car or race. By the way, isn't it called the Little Guy Nationals?? Go to the races and enjoy it. If you don't like what's running on the track, get up and walk around, use the restroom,go out to your car and have a beer! Believe me life is too short- enjoy it! Now all you " my glass is half empty " guys can bash this post..

1. Nobody forced him to volunteer his services, but I appreciate the fact that he did. Bottom line is he chose that path, so don't play that card like he's forced to be there.
2. People like him fight for the freedoms I invoke whenever I choose to bitch and argue about whatever I want.
3. They can run whatever divisions they want, and I can bitch should I choose to.

That said I'm mostly just feeding the fire because it pisses dummies off and I really don't care at all about the given subject. It's just funny how serious some people take this stuff

I had a great time interviewing the kids before the races on the PA. They sure have fun. That said, I still have concerns about children in race cars. We saw what can happen tonight. (Not in the Junior Sprints.) Guess it is like Quarter Midgets on dirt.

First, this class was added and sponsored they Jones performance. It was a first for me. I watched, said to myself, ok I don't get it. Why. Mike Dutko then announced the jr sprint driver's would be coming thru the stands with there helmets. Well I gotta tell ya. I was shocked. These kids, I don't know if anyone one of them was 12 yrs old. That was great for these drivers. I am sure some where a little nervous. These kids in 10 yrs may be the ones your sitting in the stands watching.

As for the LITTLE guy nationals, Friday car count, 200 + cars. I did not do Saturday. Other tracks should think about hosting an event like this in the spring. That and I believe here in western pa. we have 3 strong headline divisions of race cars. And to many tracks. The big 1/2 mile tracks, be it poor management or whatever reason you care to choose, they are hurting, more so than the 3/8 and smaller tracks.

Tri-City, I believe, is doing the right thing in going to a special only foremat. They have tried and tried weekly racing. Only to have it close the doors. That's not what racers or fans want. For the racing to survive in western pa. I think more tracks need to follow there lead.

They should of run Jr. Sprints and micros during the day like 3 and got them done with before the main show. Although I thought they were cool for kids I thought it would of been better for them if they would of just set up some tires on the front stretch and use the pulling track and let them run right there.

Not knowing what JR Sprints were until about 10:40 Saturday night I thought I'd add my two cents here.

Was another class needed at LGN?  Absolutely not.

Was that race entertaining, especially knowing little kids were involved- yes.

Would I have loved to get into one of those a age 10, or age 39?  Yes.

Should MRP eliminate a few classes at LGN to avoid a 3 am ending?  Yes.

Is it a back gate bonanza? Yes.

Did MRP bust their a^^ , not play around and do their best to get everything in as quick as possible?  Yes.

Did it work, because they added too many classes for said back gate bonanza?  No.

Even though I got home at 2 am and missed the last 3 features would I go back?  Yes.

Racing was really good, not as much destruction as I envisioned from years past, and I have to give them credit for not p*ssing around with extra caution laps and always having the next heat or feature immediately roll out onto the track all night long.

Just to add my 2 cents.  How many restarts did the JR.SPRINTS have, how many fights in the pits , how long to line the cars after a restarts, how many spin-outs???????

Zero fights, zero yellows, and from start to finish the Jr. Sprints were on the track for 6 min tops.
