I already have parents, so no thanks on the advice. Your hero Jon boy Walton is the guy who writes the obscene, profanity ridden, homophobic posts. If you're going to scold someone, scold the Huckster.

I no of a car that will be running a crate motor next season. He was thinking about showing. The motor he has is a built to the max ceate. It was built in Tennessee. He has been told. IT WILL PASS ANYONE'S TECH. it cost him close to 16,000.00 cheap huh. I have said time will be the deciding factor on this crate crap. Do some research on these motors. Everyone says they have sealed tags. Make me laugh. You can get em off the internet......... If your buddy paid 16,000 for a "CHEATED" crate .....either he is a MORON or you are for Beleiveing him . And it will be "hilarious " when Mike Ingram catches it the first time he hears it.... I personally will laugh

Shady. Seals or tags or whatever you want to call them. YOU CAN GET THEM OFF THE INTERNET. You don't get it do you ? People think Ingram is god. DID U ALSO SEE WERE THEY Guarantee it will pass anyone's tech. IF,IF,IF this motor smokes others and it gets around. Do you for one minute believe guys are not out there spending this kind of money ? It is a fact that you can impose rules with Part numbers, products of choice and it would cost less.

16,000 and guaranteed to pass.

Nobody has ever been successful in controlling costs in racing, and nobody ever will be going into the future. It's the nature of the beast.

@first my eyes are 20 20. Any A hole that thinks he can buy a cheater engine for $16,000.00 that will pass fastrak or Rush tech they are dreaming.
Jo just think to make the engine run that much better for tha $16,000.00 you will need to change something or grind or balance. You can't even use aftermarket valve covers.

I'm not saying Mike Ingram is god .... Brad Hibbard is also very knowledgable , I just did not mention him because I haven't seen him at the tracks in a while .... And as far as "buying seals" no Sh it !!!! Do you think that Rush and Fastrack doesn't know ??? You do realize that each part in a "crate" motor has a specific weight or measurement that it must meet ?? There is a few grams tolerance on cranks , rods , & pistons .. You do realize that they WILL CC a cylinder head .... You do realize that porting changes the volume of a head , right ? PLEASE EXPLIAN HOW A MOTOR THAT COST 16 grand runs better , when NONE of these things can be altered???? This gaurentee you speak of , does that mean when they catch your buddy cheating & confiscate the motor , will he get another one for free ??? You better READ the RUSH RULES .....

Or do you think because a motor is "SEALED" they won't check it ???? You are a Dumbass to think that for a second

In order to verify that "specific weight and measurement" they must first tear it down

Jo our area is home to the best crate drivers in the country with many national titles to back that up. Even the most chested up crate motor might gain 25-30 hp over a regular motor. That is no where near enough to beat talent like max Blair, joe Martin, Montgomery, lukon, and many many more. It's the guy in the seat who makes the difference. Would you not bet on Bloomquist to win this weekend if he was driving the oldest crate car with the lowest hp motor? Cmon, get past the cheated up motors. It's a worn out beat to death argument.

I agree... I have said it repeatedly. . TIME. That is what will determine the future of crate racing. FACTS ARE FACTS. Crate racing is more costly. I do no what was done. I actually hope people do not follow. My ??? to all this crate crap has and will continue to be simple. COST'S ARE OUT OF CONTROL. Car counts have suffered everywhere. Why has the most important issue, COSTS, keep being overlooked ? You have tracks in many regions that guys go to because of sponsors. They don't want to travel. So the choice is play by are rules or park it. Go look in the classifieds, it's a buyer's dream, yet nobody is selling anything or very little at best. My opinion. Crate racing is going to do more harm than good.

Been to upstate NY lately to see the 602 crate sportsman class?  Hardly an argument that is beat to death.

Lmao. The Sportsman mod winner at Syracuse was DQed for an illegal engine. If its done in those mods, its done in these stock cars. Crates suck and are easy to cheat. Its pathetic

Crate counts are down? The Rush crate late's brought in the most cars along with the sportsman who were supposedly 'boycotting' Lernerville, also with the highest car count of the weekend. At least 90% of the Sportsman Lernerville regulars were there.

Rusty Nuts.....reread what you just wrote...."The sportsman mod winner at Syracuse was DQed for an illegal engine."......."Crates suck and are easy to cheat".....if he was DQed then it's obviously not EASY to cheat......it may be easy to put the illegal parts in your car, but tech is going to catch it.

Rush crate lates went through tech all four days at Lernerville. They took tag numbers down and all. Multiple crates in the stock car division were DQed and not allowed to start because they were older crates and didn't have the correct numbers/tags on them.

Rg8711.....that was my point the entire time , but these guys know everything !!!! I'm sure there is alot of parts that you can put in a crate to make it run better or cheated motors to buy. But apperently these guys never went thru a Rush Tech before . So , I just stopped trying to explain how it works & how thorough they are .... I was just going to laugh when they are caught a disqualified ..... Parts confiscated and fines , loss of points , ect .....

While my car was being Tech'd on Saturday morning (before it rained), I heard Mike Ingram on the phone with someone, I'm assuming it was Vicky or Mike Leone, and he had found a crate late model with seals that had been tampered with, that he said looked like they were JB Welded back together, and there wasn't a seal on the oil pan, and several other suspicious infractions, and Mike Ingram informed that racer that he was not allowed to compete with that engine. I don't know who that racer was, but it was caught in the Tech process. If you cheat, they're going to catch you. Rush, and Fastrak for that matter don't leave any grey area. The rules have always been very black and white, and are enforced that way. Especially at Touring events.
