I think the drawing was on the up and up since they did it in Victory Lane and pulled out 20 plus winners of all kind of products including the engines.
So I'm not sure how they fixed the drawing.
Schreckengost and Hartman won, all needed to race 50% of the races at LV.
It looks like you were wrong again!

Crusty. It's a forum. I don't like the fact there taking away what many enjoy. Building there own combination of parts. Maybe a guy can't afford a certain head and bolts on a set of used 2.02's until he can. Maybe when I guy burns a piston or spins a bearing he can do it in his garage. NOT ANYMORE. You like to go back and pull shit people have said a month ago. Guys like you that don't look ahead have the mentally of a dinosaur.
You were wrong on this post
You were wrong on your post of how few LV guys showed up, way off
You were wrong on how many made the show.
You are way off on cheater crates No way will a cheater $16,000.00 motor pass tech.
You keep jabbing at a dead horse.
I like to build engines also and fix my own stuff.
I'm just tired of you and a couple other guys that keep jabbing at the crate motor.
I'm not a big crate fan either but it is here to stay.

I for one think the crate crap sucks. I wanted to race again but will not due to there rules. Do you realize there is a small group reaping the benefits of crate racing. RUSH, INGRAM, and the list is far fewer than it was before. Fair, not really. Dunk has been at this a very long time, I was told he really doesn't want more work. RUMOR ONLY. I enjoy working on my stuff, I enjoy building the motors for my street rod. Or my 64 corvette w/a solid cam from the factory. Well guess not on the racecar. Talk cost. Do you think a crate motor short or long term is cheaper ? Remember, you get to pull it out load it in the back of your truck and deliver it to your local machine shop. O wait, I forgot, get in line cause you have few choices as to where that pc. of shit can go. Hope u our not running for points or are in a hurry.
Again, my opinion dinosaur. If you looked around the pits at lernerville I will tell you this. Miley, Blair and yes a few others. I'm sure you counted everyone of them, have more $$$ in those crate cars than some do in a SLM. Do you call that controlling costs ? What was the purpose of crate racing ? COST CONTROL. DO you think that has been accomplished ? For most of the guys maybe it has. Everyone has there opinion on why tracks are struggling for car counts. Rule books today are and keep getting bigger. If it's for safety I am all for it. But, why are we taking away what some people enjoy doing ? My 383 that I built ran 10.6 in my 86 Monte carlo. 4 passes and the gear on the brand new Mallory decided it didn't want to stick around. Spun bearings. But you no what ? I did the work.
My 2 motors that where sitting in my garage became useless. The heads, the rotating assemblies got sold. The blocks just got sold for pennies, but again, these guys that bought both want to build there on combination.
THAT IS WHAT THERE TAKING AWAY FROM THE RACER....Racer, guys who used to build there stuff and where proud of it.

You no crusty you have your worthless opinion and I have mine, it to is worthless. Everyone on here states what they believe. I could give a rats ass less if I am wrong 9 out of 10 times.

Crate late model was never supposed to be some affordable class. The only thing any of the sanctions ever promised was a more affordable engine.
And the class wasn't started with the racer in mind. It was started with promoters in mind. The theory was you get late models, but you don't have to pay a late model purse.

All of those cars from lernerville that are illegal can go race at Pittsburghs Pennsylvania Motor Speedway ..... They are using the rules from the Ed LABOON races in 2016
Well that is mostly correct. It just won't be open tires. I've been working with Matt to see if we can add the Lernerville Hoosier tires to the rules package either the early part or the whole season as long as the interest is there and it doesn't hurt the PPMS guys.

I also think this crate only rule is bullshit, I've been racing these cars and putting my own motors together for 20 years and coming up with your own combination of heads, camshaft, pistons, and intake is half the fun. what I can't understand is the 33 car has proved that the crate is very competitive against the open motors so make it an option, not mandatory. The teams that buy their motors will probably save some money with this rule but, guys like myself that build and freshen their own are the ones going to suffer from this rule.

Why not figure out how to get your $hit to handle like his ??? Cutting out a couple hundred HP makes $hit exponentially easier ....
Yes! I never understood the "I can't win so we need to slow down the leader" attitude
