There's a lot of fans in the stands who wish they could race or do something for the show...
Maybe every car should offer a chance for fans in the stands to help them support the show, line the pockets of promoters and the rest of those, who feed off of the entertainment provided by racers.
Who started "go fund me" I suspect it was probably started by someone who saw a need and saw a way to make a profit from it. Am I wrong about "go fund me"? Tell me who in charge or organizations helping the needy, other then local help, doesn't make a six figure salary for their efforts?

Go fund me takes a % of the money you raised. So yes its just like ebay, paypal, ect. anything to make money. Great idea though!

I know I saw a gofundme post for the 7w of Logan Wagner to get to the Knoxville Nationals. He raised about $9500 just for that whole trip. What confused me is that just a few weeks before, he also had a post out that claimed he needed to take a week off racing because he was running out of funds due to the high cost. Yet, after Knoxville, he continued to race the rest of the season.
Personally, if i had a car, i would not be able to accept money from fans unless they were the ones that came to me first offering to help. I could not ask them directly for money to keep racing. Seems a bit low in my opinion.
HOWEVER, in a case where the gofundme account was raised for the Sportsman Modified driver whose car and trailer burnt down on the side of the highway, then I find the situation morally acceptable.

I absolutely understand that. It was just my take on the subject. Hence why I donated to the kid whose car burnt down but not to Wagner. Its all just my ideas on the situation
