What have they done to the track since we have had nice weather for the past couple of months?

Has anything been done?

New clay has already arrived at Susquehanna. If it doesn't beat the snow, it probably isn't coming.

New clay laid on a frozen base is not good. Old surface should be deep tilled and new clay amended. Final grade to seal it up, then let mother nature take over. If someone thinks you just put material down without substantial base work, your probably not a good gardener.

It's hilarious you people all cry you want track reopened and when they are you crucify the promoters every week lol. In my professional opinion someone would have to be out of their fuking mind to try running a race track

any statement that starts with the word "rumor" or contains it should automatically be deleted by the forum software, ill bet the database would shrink by 1/3!!

instead of spreading gossip how about everyone just cites who they got their information from... that way we know if you are creditable or just full of shit like the rest of them

Area dirt tracks make me laugh!! Somethings dont make sense... Like making there pure stock rules so far out in left field of other pa tracks that noone is even close to being legal to race! Then when the field is only 5 cars they wonder why and drop the class ... Someone explain please! It would make sense to make the rules somewhat close to other tracks racing the opposite days ur racing so maybe they could draw more cars. Just my opinion.

The promoters need to get together and make one uniform set of rules for Street Stocks covering all tracks in the western PA area!!   BUT THAT WILL NEVER HAPPEN!!!

Your right Walt. It's a dam shame because this in today's racing is where it starts for a lot of guys. Not anymore. These promotors can't see it happening right in front of there face. A certain Friday track has run a lot on reputation. But, if the manager keeps making STUPID desisions, especially when racers have approached management and they keep turning there backs on the racer. NOT GOOD.

It won't.  The drivers would then be able to go to the tracks that treat them the best, have the best conditions, have the best facilities, etc.  Tracks don't want to give drivers the ability to easily go somewhere else.  Points standings, being what they are currently, aren't enough incentive to keep guys coming back every week.  Cars being tied to a specific set of rules could be the only leverage some tracks have to draw cars.

If at first you don't succeed, then maybe you just suck.

Rules are close enough that guys definitely jump around a lot. VERY few run for points anymore. It's not worth it. The argument though, is that in order to make a significant change in rules, you'd almost have to have a good percentage of the area tracks on board. That's what has never been able to be organized.

How do you figure left field? Are they not the same as hummingbirds who races Saturday? Your point doesn't make since? Unless you open up the rules...then your pushing into making it a ss class...?
