The 2016 preliminary rules set accommodates all area motor combinations while keeping the 2015 Dog Hollow cars at their same weight. Rules are subject to adjustments upon finalization.

Kudos on trying to make a rules package that allows everyone to compete, no matter what combination they choose. I hope it allows everyone to be pretty equal. My only thought (and its in no way negative, just an observation). The classifieds are flooded with these chassis that no one wants. All these light weight variations are making a lot of older chassis obsolete in a hurry. Most guys have trouble getting down to 3100 or 3000 without hurting percentages. A super light (but still safe) car will make most other chassis worthless.

LOL. I hope you have a tech guy that has some idea of what's what. I guess in order to not turn any racer away you pretty much have all the bases covered.

I really like the omitting of RUSH seals.

I'd take a 3100lb 3 link car over any lightweight car all day, no reason any ss should be 3 link.

As said B4 these rules are pretty much covering anything that comes in the gate. Long term I don't know how that's going to workout.

What the hell are you even talking about? Omitting Rush seals? You do realize Crate USA seals are also Rush seals..... Smh.

They almost look like super late rules with higher weight limits ...

Well LM63 I didn't know that. My ? to you is rather simple then. Why wouldn't they just use the term rush instead of crate usa. Little confusing wouldn't you say ?

Because the seals for the 604 say Crate USA on them. They are actually Nesmith Series seals. Nesmith and Rush share the seals and run the same rules as well for the most part.

Another case of rules being made by people who do not know enough about the sport. How are they going to be able to tech these cars?

LOL at this board. There was ten pages of moaning about Lernerville going to crate only, and now complaining about these rules that include the cars that Lernerville is kicking out. Just proves that race people are never happy.

I said from the beginning. They have basically said bring it. We got rules to cover all area tracks. Which, I never said was bad. Just going to be tuff to tech in my opinion. What happens if let's say 1 particular car dominates. So, your either going to change things up or be happy chasing your tail. Let's spend more money. My lowly opinion. CRATES SUCK, ALL OF THEM, FOR SPORTSMAN RACERS.

It also states that they will tweak things if needed. I like the idea as long as cars from all weight classes can be competitive. It has worked for years at open shows. 358s with 2 barrels have run door to door with 434s with 850s

I'm going to guess and say that 3/4 of the cars that race there and come to race on occasion will have to weigh 3100. JMO

I'm going to say that these rules will be lightly enforced anyways. I doubt they will have a tech guy that will know what the hell he is doing. Besides, are they really going to throw someone out? All they are concerned about is car counts.
